My Very First Web Page
JennyCat's Page-Status: Completed

I made this at the end of 8th grade in Computer Applications class. I really wasn't supposed to make my own web page during class using the school's computers but, eh, oh well. Anyway, the name "Jenny Cat's Page" probably had to do with my name being Jenny Cat(not in real life, but for a web name) and so it was Jenny Cat's Page. It's not grammatically incorrect, really! I wasn't meaning to say, "Jenny's Cat's Page" or "Jenny's Cat Page" or anything like that!... I think... Anyway, I changed the name to Kitty's Page last summer and then I forgot the password to get back into edit the page and put it back to the original format. Whoops! Positives about this site are... um... well... the Mini Japanese Lesson is pretty cool! And the music is kind of neat... um... I really don't understand why there are dogs running across the screen... that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense... What was I thinking in eighth grade?

About free Express pages
Expage doesn't let you use you're own HTML. Instead, you choose from their layouts, graphics, animated junk, font, colors, backgrounds etc. You can edit your text, and they give you simple HTML codes for bullets [b], or italics [i]. They also give you the choice of guestbook, joke of the day page, quotes etc. Plus sides about this is service is that it's free and it's really cool if you've never used HTML before. Negatives are you can't use you're own graphics or background music files, and links have to have the entire URL written out. I recommend Expage for your very first web page only because you can look back on it when you get better at HTML and say, "Whoa, what a crappy page." And you can get a cute little GIF like this kitty.

The Realm of the Silver Millenium Guild Homepage-Completed
This was the page made for my Neopets guild, The Realm of the Silver Millenium. The original reason why I got a GeoCities page was because I wanted to steal it's bandwidth to put up Mp3s for background music on the guild because Neopets didn't have a way to upload files. Then I decided to make a web page for it, and with a little help from Lissa Explains It All (okay, maybe a lot of help) I was able to come up with a real working frameset and a pretty cool looking web page. Positives about this site is that it shows my vast improvement of HTML over the course of about 10 months and it was a pretty popular site with my 20 some guild members. On the negative side, there are so many graphics from other pages on that site, not to mention the poor color schemes, awful fonts, poorly used CSS, and the frameset (::shivers:: Never again will I ever use frames. NEVER AGAIN!! Of course, I did end up using I frames on another site...oh the horror of resizing those windows and writing target= in every link).

Neptune Shrine-Not Complete
This is not what the Neptune Shrine looked like when I first made it. The old Neptune Shrine was a one page typical Sailor Moon fan site made by an HTML impaired little girl. Okay, so I was 14 and not so little, but still there was terrible evidence that I had absolutely no regard for people loading web pages on 56K modems. I had high bandwidth graphics(all saved off of other web pages), animated GIFs, and, here's the real kicker, and 3 MB Mp3 playing in the background. I couldn't understand why my GeoCities pages were down for nearly half of the day, and I found out that I was accessing that page way too much, and the bandwidth was getting sapped out of it. Yes, it was me who single handedly made my web page crash numerous times. If I can find the original page (knowing me I deleted it in disgust not realizing I could waste more time displaying it on a web page archive a year later), I'll be sure to post it. If not, I'll try to do a remake of it.

Look what I found!!
Old Sailor Neptune Shrine Layout
I saved it after all! Now you can see the horror!

Yume No Anime-Not Finished, likely won't be finished
What I didn't realize when I created the username animedream7 was that I was attached to this screwed up username kittychan72002 (seriously, I didn't mean to make this username, I just accidently hit enter when Yahoo! randomized it and I didn't realize I wasn't stuck with it, until it just became me and then I realized I could have more than one account) and that it would be really hard to go from one user name to the other just to edit a webpage. So this one got old really fast. It's supposed to be about one of my favorite villains in Sailor Moon SuperS, who steals anime mirrors or dreams or something like that. She stole the mirror from Cardcaptor Sakura, and then I got bored. Translated into English from Japanese, "Yume no Anime" is supposed to be "A Dream of Anime".

Sailor Scouts Central-Not Complete, won't be completed unless I lose my mind to boredness
The idea behind this site was to defend the much hated Sailor Moon English dub. After writing and revising really stupid articles and realizing that creating graphics with MS paint was just a waste of time, I gave up. Who knows, maybe someone else will feel like wasting time and complete my dream of a web page that doesn't hate the Sailor Moon English dub with a passion.

About free GeoCities pages
GeoCities has two ways of building your own web page. It has various premade layouts that just have you enter the information you want and within about 1 minute and the click of 'Finish', you have you're very own personal web page. Unfortunately, the layouts are very limiting with graphics and are very basic with HTML. Thank goodness there is another alternative. If you have knowledge of HTML, basic or advanced, there is an Advanced HTML Editor. With this editor, you are able to use CSS, Javascripts, some Java Applets, a lot of fun codes, which is a tremendous improvement from Expage. Unlike other free web hosts, like Tripod and Angelfire, GeoCities doesn't pile your visitors with pop up ads, instead you sometimes get a little banner that appears on the side of the screen that you can click out of. The negative sides of GeoCities are you only get about 15 MB of storage; if you have high bandwidth pictures (bitmaps), music (mp3), or have one page containing all sorts of pictures, text, background music and fun codes, not only might you freeze Internet Explorer or a 56K modem, but GeoCities will shut down your site for about an hour; and your URL will always say http://www.geocities.com, which is an ugly address if you ask me. Other than that, GeoCities is a very good web host and even though I have access to a real domain, I prefer GeoCities.
