| A little girl laughing, smiling insane With boundless joy she couldn't contain Flowers and kittens, such mysteries untold But the flowers wilt and the kittens grow old She remembers a time when she could still feel A-front an idyllic God, she'd solemly kneel Head bowed in though, confess without shame But her spirit was one even a God couldn't tame She used to care It used to be fair Just hope and pray Make it through another day Yet once she smiled with eyes so bright Lost stars, they faded into the night Once to her, everything meant more Now living her life seems but a chore What happened to say, sun-filled and glad Replaced by nights, so thoughtfully sad The days draw on The nights are long Just can't wait to get out of here Careless, alone, without any fear |
| No, I'm not done yet, but I love this one so I decided to post it anyways. |
