| Questions (Pt. II) |
| Years later, an old man looks up at the sky He sits, reflects, wonders why Wonders where in this world he ever belonged, Why he put off reality for so long, What is life, what is meaning, What makes the world go through it's four seasons? He thinks it over, over and over But has it not in his power to discover What makes it all work, how it fits together So he sits and thinks on about forever Maybe there are no answers to find Maybe it's all just in one's mind Is it the truth, was life really God's test? Or is the concept of God only thought of in jest? And to his lips comes a faint smile, Something that hasn't happened in quite a while As a young boy he dreamed of adventures, Now he tries to remember to clean his dentures But did he live life to its fullest? And always avoid making it dullest? Compared to what - the norm or the dream? Memories of yesterday, in his eye another tear gleams So here's one last thought, what of tomorrow? This to his brow brings a slight furrow But for this old man, tomorrow won't come His pondering of questions in this life is done So where does he go, what of the end? Well, I gues syou could say that all depends |
