| Where Were You? |
| Where were you when I was there, Lying in that hospital bed? Where were you when I needed you, The rythms and talking pounding in my head? Where were you When I needed to cry? Where were you? Why were you not by my side? I needed you there To help me though. Where were you? You weren't in that room. The one person I wanted to see Where were you? The one person I needed to see. Where were you? I was scared, alone, You weren't there. Now you know, But you don't seem to care. "I'm sorry I wasn't there." "That's alright, that's expected." "Now you think I don't care." "No I just said what was intended." You're not there any more, I can't call and know you'll come. You don't care anymore. You won't understand even when this poem is done. I needed you mother, The one person I wanted to see. I didn't want grandmother Even though she was there and always will be. Why don't you come anymore? Why don't you hear? You're always away somewhere, You're never anywhere near. I needed to cry, I needed your help. Why can't you see me anymore? I still need to cry, I don't want your help. Why don't you seem to see what's in store? I know you care, But I don't see it. I know you're there, But I don't feel it. Where were you? I can't see. Where were you? Not where I could be. Frustration, pain, anger, hurt You can't see it, I won't let you. Frustration, pain, anger, hurt. You won't see it until I let you. Where were you, mother? Do you even care? Where were you, mother? Are you even there? |
