Kat was knocked out and remembered nothing when she woke up. After spending a year on the streets, Kat met Tabby Caprian, and the two girls became fast friends. Growing up together Kat found ran into a Jedi Master and was trained in the Jedi Arts hidden on Corellia. When Kat was 18 she found access to the rebellion and joined them. Though she didn't understand the calling she found she had reached the status of Jedi Knight through the training of that old Jedi Master who died back on Corellia. Kat had made up her mind at that point, when she ran into a whole group of people she would never get involved with any of them. Never get married, never get trapped in a relationship. Some of her closest friends in the Alliance were Rocky Malmon, Lance Jamison, Lil, Lotus, and the Alliance leader at that time, Alek. Adopted as Alek's niece, Kat got more and more involved in the Alliance. As her "uncle" Alek asigned her to work with another Jedi Knight, Kevorikan. Though this was more for protection that Kat realy didn't need, Kat accepted it and began working with Kev. Against all of Kat's vowing she would never get married Kat fell in love with Kev and they were soon engaged. Kat had to have him announce the engagement beacuse she knew no one would believe her if she said she was engaged. And to think all of it started with a little dance that Rocky would never let her forget. Soon after Kat and Kev were married in a private ceremony with Lotus conducting it and Jason and Jaina Steele as the witnesses. There was only one thing they said they wouldn't do once they were married; have kids. After several months of marriage the Chief Doctor of the Alliance, Lotus, started bugging them about kids. Both Kat and Kev didn't want kids, but they did want Lotus off their backs. They agreed to have a kid, though once the child was born they were going up for adoption. Nine months later Kat gave birth to Cira and Kent Kariena and she and Kev changed their minds. They kept the two babies, and a few weeks after they were born Kevorikan dissapeared. Rocky Malmon was named their god-father. As the twins grew up Kat raised them in the Jedi Arts, though Cira seemed to be more force adept than Kent atleast Kent learned the martial arts and weapons. During this time Kat became head of Diplomacy for the Alliance and Rocky taught his two godchildren to fly starfighters. Rocky in his own way became the father to Kent and Cira. Again Kat swore she would never get married again and never have any more children. Ten years after Kevorikan dissapeared Kat married a man by the name of Wes Janson and had another son, Brett. Cira wasn't to keen towards her mother's new husband, but at that time there wasn't much she could do. Wes Janson was also a freighter pilot for the Alliance for a time. Three years after Brett was born Kat had another son, Jace. When Kat was 38 years old she had triplets, Seth, Sevren, and Ali. Aside from being a parrent Kat and Cira worked as a team and had an excelent relationship together. When Kat started showing signs of a sickness she had had for a long time things with her family changed. Lotus put Kat in suspended animation to isolate the illness and cure it, and so Kat remained for three months. Lotus thought she had found a cure but three months later Kat got sick again. This time she went to Excalibur Station to an old friend, David O'Riley. She didn't want any of her close friends to watch her die. The Force had helped her keep the illness at bay for a long time, but it was getting worse. On Excalibur Station Kat was given a room and told there was nothing anyone could do, something she had already known. She didn't want to leave the galaxy with out a good Jedi, she didn't trust Dash and never would. She found a way to transfer her Force Sensitivity to David and asked him if he would accept it. He agreed as long as Kat would leave a message for her family when she was gone. Once that was finnished Kat transfered her special skills, gifts, and part of herself so he would get her knowledge to Dave. Kat went flying back into the wall her last time. Now it was only a matter of time before the Jedi died. With out the Force Kat couldn't hold the illness off any longer. Kevorikan returned and had been on Excalibur Station and came to visit Kat as she died. This surprised Kat, but it was a welcome one. Her first husband and the one who had always kept her heart was there. With his help through the force, taking the extreme pain away Jedi Knight Kat Kariena died at 38 years old |
