History:
One of the middle children of a large family, Michael learned tolorance at a young age. Being the third oldest meant she had to put up with being the third to do everything, her main goal in life was to be the first at something. When neither of her older siblings showed any interest in joining Starfleet Michael jumped at the chance. She pushed herself in her acedemic studies and studied ancient arts of hand to hand fighting and weaponry. All pushing towards that one goal of joining Starfleet and exploring space.
When Michael turned sixteen her world started to change. She seemed to always be in arguements with her parents, especialy her father, and the discouragement came through loud and clear. Christoff and Maria did not want their child going into Starfleet. Especialy with the things Michael was persuing, they were afraid of her getting injured or worse: killed.
But Michael wouldn't stop. Her dreams kept her going. As soon as she was old enough she moved out of her parents home and finnished her studies independently, joining Starfleet at her first opertunity. Her parents virtualy disowned her when she did this, wanting nothing to do with here, and for a time Michael was happy to leave them to their ways. After almost a year Michael started to miss her family, but the stubborn Allens pride got to her and she refused to give in. To this day she has yet to speak with her parents, waiting for them to give in and let her back into their world.
In the Acadamey Michael studied security and tactics, she enjoyed learning about the weaponry and persued her studies vigerously. What little life she did have out side of school was usualy related to her studies, but she did go out and had a tendancy to party occasionaly. When she finnaly graduated, Michael was asigned to the USS Excalibur as an assistant security officer.
