Kat stretched out, her sore muscles screamed at her, but she ignored them. She sat down and tinkered with her toys. Her mind was racing. So many memories. Tears threatened to overwhelm her again. She put down the item she was working on. Her eyes were coming to blurred to see. The tears suddenly overpowered her; she was unable to hold them back any longer...

Day's turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and Kat and Kira found them selves with one smuggling job after the other. Kat started bounty hunting, and soon made a name for herself doing so. Many found in miracles that she always brought back her prey in alive. Soon she was the one to talk to if you wanted a live bounty.

Kat watched her prey; his fox features were showing signs of fear. A wry grin crossed her face as she used the force to make him feel sleepy. She jumped out of the bushes she was hideing in, her fingers at his temples forceing him into a trance before he could move.

"I'm sorry," she said to him, there was always some guilt that went along with bounty hunting. That was why she only went after the smugglers and such. She didn't feel so guilty then. She dragged the male to her ship and tied him down.

"Got another one I see," Kira teased.

Kat smiled, "He was easy, the hard part is getting the money."

"I'm with you there," Kira answered warming the ship up. "You've made quiet a name for yourself there, Kat."

"I didn't ask fer it!"

"I know."

Evna stood in the doorway. Skywalker was having a fit again. That was all right. She was patient. He would be happy when she tells about her plan. She could infiltrate Nar Shadda and meet up with Kat, after she gains Kat's trust she can turn her over. Simple, yet efficient.

"Lord Skywalker will see you now, but be careful-"

"I know," she replied simply and walked into the room. The trap was about to be set.

Kat dragged her captive into the meeting place, senses alert for danger. Ofcourse her danger sense was always going off, so she was sensing for more immediate danger to herself.

The building was about as abandoned as you could get on Nar Shadda and the slime that covered the walls were enough to mask the scent of everyone that entered. Kat could sense someone lurking in the shadows.

"Ahhh, Welcome, Kat!" someone exclaimed from the shadows. "You have Tentrik I see!"

"Just give me the credits!" Kat snapped.

"Alright, there over there on the table, I suspect he is alive?"

"Of course! Did you expect me to deliver hime dead?" Kat replied walking over to the table dragging the male behind her. She wouldn't turn him over until she saw the credits. She opened the case and inspected the credits. "Take him!" Kat ordered and walked out.

After walking around in a few circles she met up with Kira, and burst out laughing.

"The intimidation act again?"

"Of course! You didn't think for a second that I'd let him think he could get me did you?"

"Umm, come to think of it... no."

They both laughed for a few minutes and slipped into one of the nearby cantinas.

"I got us another job," Kira reported.

"What is it this time?" Kat replied.

"Kessel Run," she answered.

"Fun!" Kat replied sarcastically.

"As always!" Kira smirked.

Evna entered the cantina, Kat and Kira were sitting at one of the booths, and a few tables away watching them was . . . "Mirik!" she hissed. Yes, there was no mistaking him. He was watching Kat and Kira as well. Well, two can play that game! She thought as she walked over to his table.

"Hello Mirik!" she said.

Mirik jumped, he was so engrossed in watching Kat that he didn't see Evna approach,

"Hello Evna," he growled, looking up at her. "What are you doing here?"

"Probably the same thing you're doing here," she replied. "I want to make a deal."

"I'm listening."

"We work together on this one, if she killed those two fools, then she can likely kill the two of us if we don't work together..."

"Makes sense... but what do you get out of it?"

"The knowledge that both our masters are happy, of course!"

"Uh huh," he replied sarcastically. "Takin' into consideration that there are two of them and she could easily overpower either of us..."

"Cut the long answers and give me a yes or no!" Evna snapped.

"Yes," Mirik sighed.

"Good, I have a plan that involves more than observing them-"

"Oh I'm sure!" he cut her off.

"We need to get into that close circle of friends of hers," she continues ignoring the fact that he had cut her off.

"Sounds reasonable, so what's my role?" he replied.

Evna smiled, 'Let the games begin!'

"So when do we leave?" Kat asked.

"As soon as yer ready!" Kira answered.

"Great, the ship ready?"

"Need you ask?"

"Probably not," Kat smiled. She trusted Kira more than her other friends here, considering that if any one of them found out she was a Jedi they'd all be after her.

A commotion had started behind them and they turned to watch. A male and female were fighting, not entirely uncommon here, but they were fun to watch anyway. Usually the male won and someone intervened before he could kill the fem, but this time the fem seemed to be the tougher one.

"I said let go!" the female yelled.

"Awww, come on sweetheart-" before he could get any further she punched him into the face knocking him off the chair.

"I said let go!" were her final words and she walked over and sat next to Kat.

"Pack a pretty good punch, don't ya?" Kat asked.

"Living in Nar Shadda you kind have to don't you?" the fem turned to the bartender.

"Corellian Brandy."

"No arguments there," Kat replied as the barman handed the female her drink.

The female looked at her drink, then gulped it all in one swallow. "Yer Kat, right? The one that always brings in the live bounties?"

"One and the same," Kat replied.

"Tell me, how do you do that?"

"Sorry, trade secret," Kat answered.

"That's ok, if it weren't fer the fact that everyone you've brought in has had some sort of drug in their system, I'd almost think you're a Jedi!"

Kat didn't react, this had happened before and Kat burst out laughing, "Me? A Jedi? Yer jokin' right?"

"Yea, come ta think of it, I guess I am!" The fem laughed.

"Hey you know my name what's yers?" Kat asked.

"Evnya," Evna replied.

"Pretty name," Kat answered.

"Thanks, what does Kat stand for?"

"I don't know I've always gone by Kat, nothing else," Kat replied, she looked over by the door and saw Kira making gestures to get going. "'Scuse me, I gotta go!"

"'Course!"

Kat walked over to Kira, "'Sup?"

"We gotta go now!" Kira tried not to yell. "Someone is looking at yer ship!"

"What?!" Kat ran to where the ship was resting, and ran into the ship. She caught two males snooping around the ship.

"What do you think yer doing?!" Kat yelled, no one was going to steal her ship!

The two males jumped, they obviously hadn't heard her approaching, "Ahh, ahh, hi!" one of them replied, then punched Kat.

Kat grabbed his fist and threw him to the ground. When the other attacked her, a simple sidekick was all it took to get him to the floor. Kat pointed to the exit ramp, "I should kill you, but I'm going to let you live to pass word: next person to try and steal my ship is dead! Now out!"

The two males scrambled towards the ramp, knowing they were lucky to be alive.

Kat turned to Kira, who was just arriving, "What say you we go now?"

"That sounds like a good idea!" Kira replied.

"Did they plant their homing device?" Evna asked.

"They did, they were caught though," Alchi answered.

"That's alright, two less smugglers," Evna replied.

Kat stood there her lightsaber in hand. The remote didn't like her today. It seemed to always get her when her guard was down. She caught the small charges with her lightsaber, but a few zapped her. It tought her to always be ready to absorb energies into the force, though.

Kira was in the galley making lunch when the ship suddenly shook. She ran to the cockpit and found Kat already there throwing switches and pulling out of hyperspace. The shapes of three Star Destroyers and one Supper Star Destroyer lurking above them.

Kat's danger sense was starting to drive her crazy just before a tractor beam locked on to them, "Kira, I think were in trouble."

"I think you're right!" Kira replied popping open the secret compartment. "After you!"

Kat jumped in and Kira right after.

Once the ship was pulled into the landing bay Admiral Nieay Gragan walked through the long corridors of his SSD. He finally entered the landing bay to receive the report.

"Sorry sir, no one was aboard," one of the stormtroopers reported.

"Carry on," Gragan answered.

Kat popped the cover to the secret compartment she and Kira were hiding and hopped out. She already knew no one was just outside to ambush them . . . she hoped.

"Sir!" one of the techs yelled suddenly.

Gragan whirled around and walked towards the tech, "What is it?"

"There are two life forms aboard," the tech reported.

"Bring them to me!" He ordered.

Kira had just hoped out of the compartment when the storm troopers came.

"Oops!" Kat replied. She called Kira's her lightsaber to herself and tossed Kira hers. They killed most of the stormtroopers around them before their world went black.

Kat awoke in a cold, damp, cell. Form what she could tell about four meters by four meters. Her hands were held behind her and the clasps that held her were fastened to the far corner wall.

She could sense someone approaching and played unconscious again.

The stormtroopers entered the room and unceremoniously grabbed her and dragged her to an interrogation room.

"You don't need to pretend, I know you're awake," Gragan told her.

At that Kat stood up and looked as alert as ever, "Obviously your storm troopers weren't smart enough to figure that out!" Kat replied staring into his eyes. They seamed empty and haunting. Kat resisted as they tried to pierce into her soul. "Other wise they wouldn't dragged me all the way here!"

"Stubborn aren't out?" the admeral answered.

"You just now noticed?" Kat laughed. "If I wasn't I'd still be dead back on Thilan!" How am I gonna get out of this mess? They know I'm a Jedi so I'll probably wind up meeting Vader or Skywalker... or even... Kat shuddered, she didn't even want to think about that possibility. What about Kira? "Where's my friend?" Kat demanded.

"She's safe for now, Jedi," Nieay answered calmly.

"What does that mean?" Kat demanded.

"It might be a good idea for you so stop demanding things considering you aren't going anywhere soon."

"In that case I might as well find out your name," Kat said in a monotone voice trying to use the Jedi Mind Trick

Nieay straightened, "Admiral Nieay Gragan. And yours is?"

"Kasady Mankris," Kat replied.

"Thank you for your little corporation. Take her back to her cell," he ordered. He would have to think. She was a Jedi, so she needed to be turned over to Vader or Skywalker. Her friend must be one too. She had been equally as stubborn. Though there was something familiar about her...

The storm troopers escorted/dragged Kat back to her cell and restrained her again. Kat resisted, but not enough to escape, she needed a plan first.

The door locked as the last storm trooper left. Kat sighed. She was going to be here for a while.

"Excellent!" Evna exclaimed. "Admiral Gragan will take care of the little Jedi for now!"

"But doesn't this interfere with our plan?" Mirik asked.

"Not one bit! Gragan will probably turn the Jedi over to Vader and Skywalker any way," Evna answered, turning to the holonet infront of her..

Kat soon lost count of the days that passed. Day after day she sat chained to the corner. She and Kira kept hanging onto each other's presence in the Force to keep their hopes up. They had come up with dozens of plans to escape, but none of them would work.

Suddenly stormtroopers entered the room, and deactivated her bonds.

"Where we goin' this time?" Kat asked sarcastically.

"Silence!" one of the white armored soldiers snapped.

"Touchy!" Kat mumbled as the storm troopers shoved her out of the cell.

They met up with Kira and were escorted to the bridge.

Kira and Kat looked around and both froze when they saw a Death Star hanging luminously above them. Kat shivered as a cold dark feeling covered her coming from the Death Star.

Admiral Gragan turned to acknowledge their entrance, "Welcome, I thought you'd like to see where I'm going to send you in a few hours."

"Yay!" Kat replied unemotionally. "Can't wait!"

Gragan shook his head. It was too bad she had to go see Vader as a Jedi, she would have made a wonderful Hunter.
