Can you answer the call?
Are you willing to give your all?
Have you said "Yes" to Him at all?

Could you stare death in the face,
And still say "Yes" for Him and His grace?
I know one person who could.

A person who in today's world
Was just a normal teen,
Her trials and challenges
The same as you and me.

A Highschool student
And one who would graduate soon infact,
She answered His call.
She said "Yes" and gave it her all.

Her life here on Earth
By force someone took,
But if you read The Book,
You will see what she saw.

Her life was not simple,
But her faith was strong.
With the Lord God to guide her,
And protect her from wrong.

It was her time to come home,
So God called her away,
Some wish her back on Earth,
But look at the impact she made.

Those of use who sit here,
And read of her life afar,
Can see the impact she's made
It's ther for one and all.

There was a gun,
Aimed to kill.
"Do you belive in God?" they asked
"Yes," she said, and she always will.

With her last breath,
She gave up her life,
All for the one,
She called the Christ.

Could you do that?
Could you be that strong?
Or would you give up,
And deny God his throne?
This poem was inspired by the death of Cassie Bernal, and is written in memory of her.  I was listening to Michael W Smiths CD This Is Your Time and this poem came to me.  I hope it inspires you all to live for the Creator and not be afraid to look death in the face and say "Yes." for Him.
