when tears fell from my eyes.
The sun was covered by the clouds,
my heart buried in lies.
then suddenly a miracle,
sprang forth before my eyes.
The sun peeked out from behind the clouds,
and a rainbow began to shine.
It slid across the dreary sky,
spread out over the town.
it arched itself,
and began to slide down.
My heart was filled with wonder,
My thoughts were lost in time.
This rainbow was a miracle,
A gift that was all mine.
It came forth from your heart,
and worked its way into mine.
You were my serene rainbow,
my very special guide.
but rainbows always fade away,
after some time.
and even though I didnt want it to,
so did mine.
So I sit and I remember,
the complexities.
The beautiful array of colors,
The love you gave to me.
and though I try to be happy,
with the memories of when,
there is only darkness,
At the rainbows end.
