Unlike some guitarists of the 80's, Jason Becker was not only extremely technically gifted, but also given the talent to write gorgeous music. At age 19, Jason's career was on the rise, when he was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gerrig's disease), which gradually paralyzed his body. He is now confined to a wheelchair and can't even breathe on his own. Yet Jason looks forward to the day when he will be able to play again, and has written music in his head over the years.
