FRIENDSHIP POEMS

    PORTRAIT OF A FRIEND
    Author: Unknown

I can't give solutions to all of life's problems, doubts, or fears.
But I can listen to you, and together we will search for answers.

I can't change your past with all it's heartache and pain,
nor the future with it's untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can't keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.

Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine.
yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge,
I can only support you, encourage you, and help you when you ask.

I can't prevent you from falling away from friendship, from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.

I can't give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
but I can give you the room to change, room to grow, room to be yourself.

I can't keep your heart from breaking, but I can cry with you and
help you pick up the pieces and put them back in place.

I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.

    FACELESS FRIENDS
    by Ma. Lorelie Hernandez

No emotions to see on your face
Can't feel the warmth of your embrace
    Nothing registered in my eyes,
Nothing but text as cold as ice.

    But, wait, can't you feel?
On the net is something real
Another world where there is love,
life, worries, war, and peace of a dove.

    I see a faceless friend
    whom I can always depend
With just a click of a button
(making sure the computer is on!)

But when I chat with you,
    it makes my day bright
It gives color to my monochrome life
Alas! red, blue and lilac stripes.

Someday I'll see your face again
    Truely more than a gaze
    Friendship will flourish
hoping the "magic" will not vanish!

    (((*HUGS AND KISSES*)))
    by adria127

    Friends from far away
    Friends from over the lands
    Thank God for friendship
    For the typing hands

    Hear my call, dear friend
    An echo cause you care
    You make my life better
    Hope you are aware

    Friendship is surely love
    But not the lovers one
    We share many feelings
And have a lot of fun.

    My friend, days go by
    But youre always there
Im lucky to have found you
    Couse friendship is rare.

    Some say they are friends
But I dont feel it so indeed
    Youre so special to me
You care when I am in need.

    This feelings make me warm
    Whenever Im down or blue
    I know youre always there
And I can count on you.

    CYBERSPACE

    "I haven't ever seen you,
    but I know you're really there;
    I click you into reality
    like magic from the air.

Your voice is like an Angel,
    though I really do not hear;
your hug as warm as any
of loved ones I hold dear.

    You're always there for comfort,
    or a simple word of cheer;
    though you're very far away,
    I always have you near.

    You are very special ,
    like none I've ever known;
as long as you're in cyberspace
    I'll never be alone."

    FRIENDSHIP PRAYER

I got down on my knees today,
And said a prayer for you,
For you are always in my heart,
And I often think of you,

I asked the Lord to send his angels,
    To protect my dearest friend,
I prayed that all the joy and happiness,
    You have will never end,

I asked the Lord to comfort you,
    When you are feeling blue,
And when you have a tear,
    He'll wipe away that too,

I asked the Lord to bless our friendship,
So our ways will never part,
    Special friendship we shared together,
For we're in each others hearts.

    BLESS MY 'PUTER

    Every evening
As I'm laying here in bed
    This tiny little prayer
    Keeps running thru my head

God bless my mom and dad
    And bless my little pup
And look out for my brother
    When things aren't looking up

And God, there's one more thing
I wish that you could do
Hope ya don't mind me asking
But please bless my 'puter too??

Now I know that's not normal
    To bless a mother board
    But just listen a second
While I explain to you, my Lord

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds & ends
    Inside those small compartments
Rest hundreds of my 'BEST FRIENDS'

Some it's true I've never seen
    And most I've never met
    We've never exchanged hugs
Or shared a meal as yet ...

I know for sure they like me
By the kindness that they give
And this little scrap of metal
Is how I travel to where they live

By faith is how I know them
    Much the same as you
I share in what life brings them
    From that our friendship grew

    "PLEASE" take an extra minute
    From your duties up above
To bless this scrap of metal
That's filled with so much love!

    NEXT LIFETIME
    by JOSIE MURPHEY

    ON A PC SCREEN,
    YOU JUST APPEARED,
    CHEERING ME UP,
    YOU WERE SUCH A DEAR!
    HOURS LATER,
    MY LIFE WAS CHANGED,
    FOR THE BETTER, YOU KNOW
YOU WERE SO SWEET AND CARING,
AND I CARE FOR YOU SO!
    IN THIS LIFETIME I KNOW
    WE MET TOO LATE,
BUT IN THE NEXT ONE, YOU SEE,
A PLACE FOR YOU I WILL RESERVE
    AND RIGHT NEXT TO ME,
    IS WHERE YOU WILL BE!
