The Middle East
Where the continents of Europe, Africa and Asia meet lies a region often called the Middle East. The countries around the Mediterranean Sea have hot, dry summers but sometimes cold winters. Further south, most of the land is the desert. Huge amounts of oil have been found under the desert and out at sea.
