Africa

Africa is the second largest continent. It has hot, steamy rainforests near the equator, tropical grasslands, deserts and mountains. Many different people live in Africa, such as Arabs in the north and pygmy tribes in Zaire. Together, the people of Africa make up about a tenth of the world's population. Some people work in cities such as Nairobi, but many others are nomads or farmers and are very poor.
