| i feel compelled to mention to friends and family (and even the occasional wayward visitor) that this site is pretty much out-of-the-box in terms of design. i used PageBuilder (an incredibly glichy but FREE piece software provided by geocities.com) and a thoroughly confusing version of Photoshop 5.5 (in japanese) as well as scanner software called Hanako ('flower child' directly translated, and true to its name, it acted dazed and confused and thus crashed most of the time). |

| an excuse . . . |
| and so, why have a page? self-aggrandizement, free advertising, or posterity? probably all of the above but i also wanted to make it easier for those interested in 'keeping tabs' on me to do so, and thus not have to suffer my glacial correspondence. |
oh yeah, i almost forgot, this is my first try at making a web page...or maybe that`s obvious by now. |
| to the right are my original sketches, usually scribbled down while riding the crowded train to tokyo. these innocent 20 second doodles ballooned into a 3 month ordeal...had i known beforehand the amount of time i would eventually spend making this site i'm not sure if i would've started this endevour. sometimes a certain amount of naivete is prerequisite for undertaking arduous journeys. |
