| so the happi-coated crowds push along these crowded streets with portable shrines called "omikoshi", on their shoulders; rocking them up and down, careening left to right, all the while screaming in unison "WHAAA-SHOI". Though illeagal, when the spirit really moves them, people will ride on top of the omikoshi...and on this day 9 people were arrested for doing just that. |
