Amazon.com This moderately priced microwave oven is perfect for small households. At just 600 watts, it's powerful enough to quickly heat and cook small amounts. Its compact size (18-3/16 inches wide by 9-13/16 inches high by 13-13/16 inches deep) means it fits in a small kitchen, even under cabinets--as long as there's 3 inches of clearance between the oven's top and the cabinet's bottom. The control panel includes a clock and easy-to-use preprogrammed keys for potatoes, popcorn, soups and beverages, and frozen vegetables. A "more-or-less" key adjusts these preprogrammed times as desired, while another key adds 30 seconds to cooking times. Entering a food's weight and pushing an automatic-defrost key takes the guesswork out of defrosting. The turntable, 10-13/16 inches in diameter, returns to its starting position after cooking. A child lock prevents unauthorized use. --Fred Brack

***SAVE YOUR MONEY***.
While I *had* planned on writing out every defect that this microwave has, I decided against doing so due to the fact that this review would have ended up the same length as "War & Peace." I only use my microwave to heat water, to defrost food, and to sometimes cook a baked potato, yet this microwave has difficulty even doing *those* things well. **DON'T** buy this microwave, unless you enjoy having to deal with things like an impossibly small door opening that makes you spill hot water all over your fingers just trying to remove a cup of tea from it, or diddling with buttons that are incredibly small, and irritating to use. Neither of those defects were "required" in order to keep its small size (i.e., the space inside is much *larger* than the door, and is not utilized but instead restricted by the inane metal plate surrounding the opening, and the buttons are only active for input on a teeny tiny area of the actual buttons themselves.) While I bought this microwave only eight months ago, I'm going to purchase a new one next month (even though I can't afford it), because I'm just so SICK of hassling with *this* one.

Disappointing - two times over.
I do not recommend this product at all. The first one shipped to me arrived damaged; it had a dent on the top. The replacement that ...sent was worse; it didn't work. When I called the Sanyo company, they confirmed for me that it was defective. Don't waste your time ordering this product.

Melts cheese well.
I love cheese and melted cheese over bread is great. This product does just that. All you need is a hunk and some wonderbread and set on the timer for 45 seconds. What a great snack. I have also made many cheese dishes melted this way.
