Danette jerked up out of sleep as she fell. Her eyes snapped open as soon as she realized she was no longer asleep. Slowly she sits up in the bed and pushes her dark hair out of her face.
"Connor? Marius? Where are you two?' she called out, still freaking out.
Marius was the first to appear. He was wearing a worried expression. "Ah so you are awake. You had us worried. You just collapsed after we rescued Vangelo and no matter what we did, we couldn't wake up up. Connor's been worried, but he's back at Arilinn. He said there was some sort of issue he needed to take care of."
"Great, just great." Dani mutters
Marius shakes his head. "You two have been together for how long? Danette he has responisbilities and you knew this the day you two embarked on this romantic ride of yours! The Tower comes before you at times and you need to learn to accept it."
'Oh lovely! I've been out cold and the first thing I get when I wake up, is a lecture on duty? And from him no less? Oy!'
Marius heard the silent outburst, but he chose to ignore it. Some things had to be learned on a personal level. To break the silence that threatened to descend between them he said. "This came for you."
Danette watched her brother produce a letter and she took it from him. Curious she opened it and began to read.
Danette,I am truly sorry about what happenned when you and your mate came for dinner so many weeks ago. It was NOT my intention to in any way suggest that either of you might knowingly endanger either Anwyn or myself. Perhaps Anwyn is right about me being overly-protective of her, and overly-cautious in general.
As much as it makes me uncomfortable to admit it, I really DO need your help.
The only other person that I would dare to ask, would be Melissa Ridenow. But although she understands how difficult it can be for a Terran to adjust to all this magic that so many of you Comyn seem take for granted, she lacks the viewpoint of seeing our religious faith from the inside.
Hopefully you can forgive me for what must have seemed to be terrible rudeness. Could we try again ?

As she read, Danette frowned. She looked up at her twin. "It's from a friend of mine. I need a letter taken back to her with a reply, but I cannot go myself."
Marius laughed. "I'll play message boy for you as long as you stay in bed."
"Which you know I hate doing, but fine. Get me something to write on and with please?"
Marius laughed and headed off and when he returned he held a quill and a few sheets of parchment. "There you go. While you write, I am going to change."
Danette waved him off and once he was out of veiw, began to write.
Kay--No need for apologies. Think nothing of your being curious for it happens to the best of us, I've been accused of it more then once.

Moments later she folded the letter and sealed it with wax after she addressed it. She wondered what kind of trouble that Kay was in to ask for her help.
Marius reappeard dressed for his errand, wearing nothing that would identy him as the Lord of Scarvel, and that made Dani laugh. It was almost as if he were hiding that fact. She handed him the letter and snicked.
"You rest and I will be back when I can.' he said as he took the letter and headed for the door. The last thing Marius heard was a raspberry. He smiled and made his way to deliver the note.
