Just then Uilleam started to bark, to announce the arrival of a small group of people at the front gate.
It was a rather LARGER crowd than Donal had been expecting. Yes, there was indeed a young woman who looked likely to be this Kay person. But who were all of these OTHER people with her ?
If Donal had noticed the barn owl lurking nearby (and how much of the owl's attention was focused on both the group inside the yard and the group at the gate), he would have been even more surprised.
