[OOC: Timeline note: This happens in late afternoon AFTER Melissa has come to visit. Kay is on her way to fetch Louis -- so that she can introduce him to Melissa, who's waiting in her quarters. It's also a few candlemarks before Kay is later properly-introduced to Anwyn in the gym]
*******

Warm inside and out, Anwyn paid for her meal and then braved the cold once more, heading off to her tiny transient cubicle. Tomorrow she'd see if she could access some language tapes. What she had been hearing sounded a little bit like Spanish, a little bit like Gaelic, and a little bit of something else she couldn't quite identify.

So Anwyn headed back towards the building where the transients' quarters were, not really noticing whether or not anyone was following she was shivering so hard and walking fast to keep warm

"Oh", said Kay in surprised recognition as the girl crossed her path. "Hello again". Thankful for the warmth of the cloak she'd remembered _this_ time, Kay wondered why the girl was still walking around so inadequately dressed. Was it sheer newbie ignorance, lack of funds or just a display of teenage toughness ?

It would be terribly impolite for to come right out and ask, so instead Kay tried to be tactful, commenting matter-of-factly "Of course, it's probably none of my business. But when my gran ever saw _me_ walking around in winter without my jacket, she'd always say 'Och lass, are ye bloody daft ? It's yer death ye'll be catching like that someday' or something similar".

Anwyn stopped a moment and blinked at the woman, recognizing her as the one who had directed her to that lovely inn with the most wonderful food, and gave her a shy smile.

"Most of my clothing went with my parents," she replied, shivering. "I'll pick up something soon. Honest. Th-Thank you for caring, Ma'am." With a shivery smile, Anwyn waved and hurried off.

Kay continued onwards. There was something odd about that girl, something that reminded her of someone. But there was no time to think further about it, so Kay pushed it to the back of her mind for now. She'd left Melissa waiting, though hopefully not too long by now. If there were no delays, it would only be a few minutes more -- the medical complex was right over there. Silently she prayed that introducing Louis to Melissa wouldn't later turn out to be a mistake.
