She found him sitting in the room that she and Marius had made into a library. She watched him from the doorway, admiring how the light danced through his hair. She smiled and walked in. Connor looked up at the sound and smiled. "Where did you rush of to?" he asked.
Dani gave him a kiss in greeting and sat down on the stool at his feet. "I went chocolate hunting. You were naping so I didn't wake you." It was only half the truth and he knew it.
*What aren't you telling me darling?* he asked her.
She slid into rapport with him easily and replied, *There's a wild telepath in the city. I was pulled to her...*
*What do you mean 'pulled'?*, he demanded.
*Something drew me to her, but I am still unsure of what.* Dani sent troubled.
Aloud Connor said "I would like to meet her."
Dani blushed and said "Oh, her name is Kay and I don't think she'd like that too much." She smiled thankfully as a maid appeared with a cup of jaco and some nutbars. Then she took a sip of the jaco and added, "She isn't too keen on the laran thing. She sees it as a bad thing. Maybe she wouldn't have confided in me if she knew that I was, as she calls it, 'Fae gifted.'"
Connor raised an eyebrow and Dani could tell the he was bothered by the color of his eyes. She took a bite of a nut bar and sent' *Maybe she SHOULD meet you.*
*After you've rested.* he sent back and she nodded. It was then that she realized just how tired she was. She stifled a yawn and Connor laughed. Hearing him laugh made Dani want to join in and she did so.
She couldn't wait to see Kay's reaction to Connor. She finished her jaco and got to her feet with a groan. She popped the last of the nutbar into her mouth and headed off to get ready for bed with Connor in tow.
