Uilleam Age: almost six local years old Residence: formerly the townhouse of Donal MacLeod, soon to be moving in with Anwyn (a big dog in a bachelor apartment) History Having being born and bred as a McLeod Canine Companions dog, Uilleam has led a very structured life. He was gifted to Donal by a faraway cousin a year ago, when Donal's travels brought him near enough to visit. Donal and Uilleam enjoyed travelling together until Donal was offerred an oportunity to go off-world for a year. Uilleam was rather concerned as to what he would do while Donal was gone, since Donal's mother (a shopkeeper) and sister Mhari (a local midwife) tolerated his presence, but didn't seem to be very fond of living with any kind of animal other than humans. And anyways, neither of them could communicate with him anywhere near as well as Donal could. Uilleam is not sure HOW the human-pup Anwyn came to show up at Donal's house, but he's glad that she came. And although he still loves Donal best, he's willing to accept Anwyn as a living companion (at least until Donal returns). Personality: Uilleam is generally a friendly sort of dog -- except when he thinks someone (or something) is threatening his charge(s). He always thinks before he acts, and he takes his duty seriously. Being logical and practical, he wouldn't hesitate to do ANYTHING to protect those he guards. Very persistent and very stubborn. Strengths: Bred for high intelligence, accustomed to *talking* to humans who have the MacAran Gift. Loyal to the point where he would kill (or die) if neccessary to do his duty. Weaknesses: No hands, and isn't as sentient as humans. Tends to be over-protective of his charge(s) when on guard duty. Is firmly convinced that companion-and-guard dogs like himself, are far wiser than most humans. Combat training: Has been extensively trained to be both a companion-dog and a guard-dog. Dangerous with teeth and claws. He has sufficient dexterity/strength in his tail that he can pick up objects with it (either to be thrown or to be used as a weapon with which to strike something). Appearance: Adult Dog of unknown breed (if you recognize this breed, please tell me what it is) Friends: His best friend is Donal MacLeod ( a trader with a small shop). Recently, his newest friend is Anwyn, who he's decided suits him "just right" for a living companion while Donal is travelling off-world.
