Notes for Catharine KISTLER

Catherine (BCD) is named in her father's estate papers. She was probably born about 1790. Although Catherine apparently was in Lincoln County, NC, in 1815 (see entry for her brother John, BCA), she must have returned to Rowan County, NC, at some point since Rowan County records show Catherine Kesler married George Sowers in November 1821. Further, in 1838, George Sowers and his wife Catherine let Thomas Cowan have property which Catherine inherited from her mother, Barbara, widow of Jacob. Also, they let their interest in the land of Andrew "Keshler" (BCH) who was thought to be dead.
