Notes for Luther A. SWOPE
From George Bricker genealogy:
In 1863 he entered Pennsylvania College, Gettysburg, PA. He then went to Muhlenburg College, Allentown, Pa, from which he graduated 1868. He remained three or four years as a tutor. He spent one year at Harvard University as a post graduate, and one year at Union Theological Seminary, N.Y. He has taught for twelve non-consecutive years in private schools of the higher grade, and has been private coach for colleges and universities for twelve non-consecutive years. He has spent two seasons abroad. He is a member of the Harvard Club of New York. He is unmarried and his home is at Hanover, Pa.
