"Jacob Bachman, Sr. brought a passport with him, dated 16 Mar. 1753 at Saarbrucken; it releases Jacob Bachman, Sr. and his wife and eight children from Hirschland from their hereditary obligation."

Will: Northampton Co. "Jacob Bachman,Sr., Weissenberg twp., yeoman, 30 Apr 1787-27 Oct. 1789. Names wife Catharina, who was the widon of the late William Schmetter of Albany twp., Berks co. Sons Paul, Jacob, Laurence, Nicholas. Daughters: Christina, Elizabeth, Susanne, Otilia, Mary Elizabeth. Wit: Jacob Horner and Nicholas Schwatz."
