According to the above source, Peter Scheibly was born in Switzerland of German parents. Came to America as a redemptioner. Settled in Berks Co., PA. Was a private in Capt. Adam Stahler's Company during the Revolution (References PA Archives). Bought land in (now) Perry Co., PA in 1789 and resided there by 1792. Sold this land in 1808 to son-in-law Henry Kline. In 1802 purchased farm in Green Park, Perry Co., PA.
Tressler genealogy: Peter came to America in 1750. Lived in Northampton and Berks counties. Moved to Tyrone Twp., Perry Co. in 1789.
Burial: Lebanon Cemetery, Loysville, Perry Co., PA
