"Catherine married Samuel Kistler, who was born in 1802, a native of Spring Township, Perry Co., Pa. They lived in that township possibly till the middle of the thirties of a century ago. Then they removed to Jackson Township, where they lived the remainder of their days, ... Their children ...(1) William married Emeline Gates. They formerly lived in Blain... (2) Mary died unmarried aged about twenty-four years. (3) Abram married Sarah Eby and they had two children. She died and he married Fannie Koch and they had five children... (4) Jacob married Mary Whistler and had seven children. (5) John A. married Caroline V. Sheibly.. (6) Caroline married William Lay and had children, three of whom were living in 1897. Mr. Lay died and she married Moses Jeffries who also died. She then married Mr. Getter. There were no children by the first marriage. (7) David married Caroline Myers and had sons and daughters and removed to Colorado. (8) Margaret married Jonathan Bistline. It is written that in 1897 they had five children. Many years ago, they removed from Perry Co., Pa. to Illinois and later to Dakota." Source: Johnston.
