Notes for Henry S. KISTLER
It has not been verified that Henry S. is a child of this family. Hollenbach listed a Henry Kistler as child of Stephen S. /son of Jacob S. /son of Samuel /son of HanJorg. Henry was not named as a son in this family in the Lehigh County History. Rev Fegely said at funeral that there were only 5 sons and 3 daughters of Stephen S. and Abigail Brobst, all of which had been accounted for with out Henry. Jacob S. had a brother Samuel S. and I believe it is probable that Henry was on this side of the family. Samuel S. had a son John S. that I believe was Henry's father. In any case I am convinced that Henry's great grandfather was Samuel /son of HanJorg.
He was listed in the 1905 Allentown City Directory as-
Kistler, Henry S. clerk, bds Lafayette Hotel. This has the implication that Henry was living apart from Rebecca at this time.
Rebecca is listed in the 1912 directory as-
Kistler, Rebecca ( wid Henry ) , h 956 Maple. - This is the same address as her sister Susan Tool who was also a widow in 1912.
