Notes for Samuel KISTLER
Samuel owned farms, livestock and mills. He directed his business operations but hired help to do actual work. His gristmill was at Carroll and his sawmill was located about one mile NW of there.
His wife Elizabeth was of Irish decent. They were members of the Lutheran Church. She was killed by the accidental discharge of a gun. Samuel and Elizabeth are the grandparents of Floride Kistler Sprague.
