| Here's the first costume piece I ever made! (besides barbie doll clothes I made years ago, and a pillow in home ec). It's Frodo's vest for our film. Pay no attention to the white shirt-I didn't make that! I have to point out that I did NOT make the costumes perfect for our film. They are cheap, fast, but still look decent enough on film. The material's all wrong (even the color, but it's all I had on hand). I am still proud of it however :0) I drafted the pattern on my own, and hand-sewed everything! (didn't have a machine yet! Took forever to make this!) Excluding the material and the fact that it has no side pockets, I believe it is still very true to the original. There are 5 buttons down the front (which I painted silver-they were white originally), and even a welt pocket for the ring! (I'm proud of that pocket!) | ||||||||||||||||||||||
