Profferance
Your resplendent words, scented with desire Wrapped in phrases I longed to believe. For all I heard, presented as though for hire; letting us be decadent, I've allowed deceit... Understanding was not unnamed for me only wanting, needing, and lusting for you Benevolence sought to be maintained, rightfully, I was undaunting, free, and trusting clear through - Revisited circumstances which echo with shame, invited your disrepect. I have been used. Illicit romances shall harbor all blame; in spite of intellect, one may fall for the ruse... What was there to gain, that I should lose face? Bereft now of solace, the truth opens wings - you may disdain, but my heart was placed adrift in the locus where foolish hoping sings... Disingenue, you command so eloquently - visions were summoned, you design to enchant! Equanimity undone: your hand, the Pharisee - Derision has pummeled; benign love you supplant.
