God's Days (An Ode to Life...)
Rapt in Autumn I softly glow with the blush of fall's cooler days And clearer nights; now, the haze of sultry summer drifting off, upon The apple and spice breeze of more lively months creating energy Within me, which I thought drained long away into the heat and fire Of the season just past... Yet, I find myself dancing, joyful! Celebrating emergence of myself, into the chilled and colorful palette Of earth's different wardrobe - thankful to be Alive! November Child, I am... Rite of this Passage is mine by birth an encircling journey echoing through my years Upon this changeable planet of many wonders still here For those who seek pleasures of the senses... Hope never dies see it painted upon each bright golden, or red, Leaf; hear it singing softly in the fragrant rustle of Beautiful garments still worn, yet tattered, on these trees... Inhale it; the scent of life's sameness - the ever-present vision of change Always new, and always familiarly old, comforting; returning to us Reaffirming our little fates those destinines of humanity Which arise with each dawn, every season - Believe, your soul croons to you a lullabye for all, for one for yourself: wrapped in the caress of Mother Nature Sleep, and wake - find the sliver of sun which warms you and beckons curiosity for another, and another day to live, to be glad, to love...
