What is it you want of me?
To undo the ink which graces me
the art which I felt important
to caress my skin at 33 years
or remove the shining metal
piercing me with
ancient ritual decoration
in my 39th year . . .
Perhaps to donate to charity
the wardrobe which may suit
(to your thinking)
a girl rather than the woman I am?
Surely to not dally
in the company of youths -
exploring anatomic intricacies
of men at almost half my chronology!
