Heya...here's the first fic I ever posted here :) "Please Remember Me" by Tess Usagi was sitting on her bed with her head resting on her knees thinking about Mamoru. It was something she did alot ever since he had dumped her two months ago. 'Why? Why did he do it?', she thought, 'I thought we were supposed to be together forever!' The pain was still as fresh as if he had done it yesterday. Everytime she saw him, in the grocery store,or at the mall, she would apologize for being lazy, or eating or talking too much, but he would always just ignore her. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Usagi was the only one home, so she got up to see who it was. When she opened the door, she found herself staring into a pair of blue eyes that matched her own. She gasped. "Mamo-chan! Why are you here??," she said, half of her hoping, wanting him to take her in his arms and tell her that it was all a mistake, that he did love her, but the other half of her wanting to scream at him and hit him for causing her so much pain. "I've come to apologize," Mamoru replied. "Apologize? Apologize for ripping my heart out?! Apologize for-," Usagi began to scream at him. Mamoru grabbed her and pulled her to him, interrupting. "Usako..." he whispered, and pressed his lips to hers. 'Usako...', Usagi thought, 'He called me Usako. Usako, not Usagi.' She let herself get caught up in the glorious feeling of his lips and his arms, then remembered how mad she was at him, and how she wasn't just going to let him use her. She wriggled free, and slapped him in the face. Hard. "Oh, so that's it?," Usagi screamed, " You think you'll just use me when it's convinient for you? You just want to use me when you want a hug or a kiss. I don't think so! You've got to take the good with the bad, and we have to work out our problems, whatever they are!!" Mamoru rubbed his face, and started to speak, "I've also come to say goodbye." "What?," Usagi asked softly. "Usako, we just can't be together, can't you see that?" Mamoru fumed. "I don't see it! I don't see why we can't be together when we both love eachother so much!," Usagi looked Mamoru right in the eye. He didn't return her gaze, and instead, reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. He handed it to Usagi. She opened it, and read the first few lines: ************************************* When all our tears have reached the sea Part of you will live in me Way down deep inside my heart. ************************************* "Mamo-chan...what is this?," Usagi asked. She didn't get an answer. She continued reading: ************************************* The days keep coming without fail A new wind is gonna find your sail That's where your journey starts ************************************* A single tear rolled down Usagi's cheek. ************************************* You'll find better love, strong as it ever was Deep as the river runs Warm as the morning sun Please remember me ************************************* "Mamo-chan...," Usagi whispered. Mamoru turned away so she wouldn't see him cry. Usagi began to lightly sob as she read on: ************************************* Remember me when you're out walking When snow falls high outside your door Late at night when you're not sleeping And moonlight falls across your floor When I can't hurt you anymore ************************************* "Mamo-chan, doushite?? I just don't get it!," Usagi sobbed. ************************************* You'll find better love, strong as it ever was Deep as the river runs Warm as the morning sun Please remember me ************************************* "What do you mean I'll find better love?!," Usagi continued to sob, "Why? Why do you have to do this? Why do we have to be this way when we both love eachother?! You deny, but I know you love me! I can see it in your eyes! Why do we have to do this when it's killing us both inside?! You know you love me!!" "You're right," Mamoru admitted, "I love you more than anything or anyone else, but we just can't be together. Forgive me, and goodbye." "B-but where will you go?," Usagi asked tearfully. "Where I can't hurt you anymore.," Mamoru replied, "Goodbye, Usagi." *Usagi*. Mamoru began to walk to his car. Usagi followed him, and tried to hold him back, but he pushed her away and got into the car. Usagi pounded on the car, sobbing and screaming, "Mamo-chan! Doushite? Onegai, stay here! Onegai, stay with me!! Mamo-chan, aishiteru!" In the car, where Usagi couldn't hear him, Mamoru cried out, with tears running down his face, "I'm sorry, Usako, I'm so sorry! Please forgive me! Aishiteru, Usako." He slowly pulled out of the driveway. Usagi rushed out into the street after him. She glanced at the now tear-stained piece of paper: ************************************* Please remember me ************************************* As Mamoru drove off, Usagi crumpled down on the road and whispered, "But Mamo-chan, how could I forget you?" The End
