Hey y'all! Here it is, chapter 4! A lot of people seem to like this story, so I'm trying to update as much as I can! Enjoy! Sailor Moon and all characters doesn't belong to me, but to Naoko, Kodansha, Toei, Etc. "Endless Waters" Chapter 4 "What do you mean 'new money', Lands?," shouted Mr. McAllister distantly. "Just because the Lands' have had money for a hundred years doesn't make you a king!" "A king, no, but higher than you, yes!," shot back Mr. Lands. Serena and Darien, still in each other's arms, exchanged a glance. The voices started to come closer. "Darien!," Mrs. McAllister called, coming to the arch where they were standing. "We're leaving! Now!" "Serena, remove your arms from him at once!," commanded Mrs. Lands. "And that goes for you too, Darien!," shouted Mr. McAllister. "No," Darien said firmly. "Son, this is no time to disobey me," Mr. McAllister replied lowly. "No, I'm not letting go," Darien resisted again. "Fine then, I'll have to do it for you!," growled Mr. McAllister, and he pushed Serena onto the grass. Darien glared and him, and went to help Serena up, but Mr. Lands got in the way, helping her up himself. "McAllister, if you or your son *ever* touch my daughter again, you will pay dearly." "Fine, I don't see what my son sees in that spoiled brat anyway!," replied Mr. McAllister. "Father!," Darien scolded. "One more thing, Lands. At least I made my own money, instead of getting it from my dead relatives!," Mr. McAllister shouted. "Leave! Leave my property at once!," shouted Mr. Lands, his face red with fury. "No urging needed there. Come on Darien, your belongings are already in the car!," Mrs. McAllister ordered. "No!," Serena cried out. "Not because of some silly argument! No!" She rushed back to Darien and hugged him, burying herself in the scent of his cologne. He hugged her back, and her tears spilled onto his shirt. Then Serena felt herself being pulled away by her father. He held on to her arm with an iron grip. Darien's father began to pull him away too. Then his mother began to help dragging him towards their Rolls Royce. "Serena!," Darien shouted, struggling with his parents. "Darien!," Serena screamed, tears running down her face, trying to get away from her father. Darien couldn't stand to see her that way. "Serena", Darien said in a quieter voice, "I love you, Serena." Serena started to sob and looked into his eyes, which were filling with tears. Darien's parents shoved him into the back of the car, then got in and began to slowly drive away. Serena's father let go of her arm, relieved that *they* were gone. Serena began to run, towards the McAllisters, wanting just one more glimpse of the only man she'd ever loved. Darien's face was pressed against the back window, watching her. Watching her run, chasing him, her face soaked with tears. She stopped running when the car slowly began to pull out at the gate and slowly mouthed "I love you, too." A single tear dripped down Darien's cheek. Serena watched until she could no longer see him, than ran back in the direction of the house. She ignored her parents' calls from the garden and went straight to her room, slamming the door behind her. She threw herself onto the bed and sobbed into the black silk of Darien's cape. She couldn't believe-she didn't wanted to believe- that she would never see him again. *End Flashback* Serena looked into to her notebook and began to scribble, tears welling up in her eyes: "They felt like their hearts were being torn apart. How could they have been so cruel?" Serena slammed her notebook shut when she suspected someone reading over her shoulder. She turned around, and her breath caught in her throat as she stared into Darien's midnight blue eyes. "You still have that notebook?," Darien asked quietly, and Serena remembered that he was the only person who knew about it. "Yes," she said flatly, and glanced at her watch. "I've got to get going. My friend and I have plans." Then she got up and walked away. She could feel Darien staring at her all the way across the deck. Once she turned the corner, she stared at him, hidden from view. He had a hurt, confused expression on his face. Serena hating hurting him. *Flashback* (AN: Last Flashback, I promise!) Serena had only come out of her room at mealtimes for a month and a half. She was still fuming at her parents. She knew she was being irrational, but didn't care. She didn't care about anything, only Darien. One day, when she was softly crying in her room, she heard a light knock on the door. She didn't bother saying anything. She heard the door open, and turned her head away. Mrs. Lands came, dressed in a cream-colored suit, and sat on the bed. "Serena, dear, we know this is hard on you, but it's for your own good," she said. "My own good?," Serena asked. Then her voice began to rise. "How is keeping me away from the person I love for my own good? Or maybe it's just not good for you, not good for the family, because heaven forbid I love someone from a family that hasn't been rich for one hundred years like our's has!" "Don't raise your voice dear, it's not ladylike," Mrs. Lands calmly instructed. Serena rolled her eyes. "Serena, I came up here to show you this," Mrs. Lands continued, and took a folded up piece of paper from her purse. "This is to prove to you that the McAllister's son is worth nothing. You say he loved you? Look at this, and I'm sure your opinion will change!" Serena took the paper from her mother. It was a newspaper clipping. She began to read it: "19-year old son of Millionaire Andrew McAllister engaged to daughter of clothing designer Nancy Bruner. Darien McAllister proposed to Allison Bruner on July 12th. 'I have no doubts about Allison and I being happy together,' says McAllister. 'I couldn't imagine loving anyone else this much.'" End Chapter 4. Well, things are getting rather interesting, ne? Like I said earlier, this is the last flashback in this fanfic (although it doesn't end until the beginning of Chapter 5) so if you're getting annoyed with flashbacks, don't fret. Byee!
