Halooo! So my last update for this was what, a month ago...I'm getting better :) Ok, here's the deal with this story. This is chapter 10a, next is 10b, then the epilogue, and then I'll be done. This one is kinda short, but just like chapter 6, I just *had* to end it with a certain part. A warning: I can't write action worth beans, so go easy on me, k? It beats the rough draft...trust me. I cringe just looking at it. Hope ya enjoy it! Sailor Moon doesn't belong to me...that's kinda obvious though, isn't it? I mean, if it did belong to me, these fanfic could actually be episodes and I'd have lots more Mamo-chan in it ;) All right, All right. Sailor Moon belongs to Naoko Takeuchi, Kodansha, Toei, Cloverway, and whoever else that might be able to sue me if I didn't write all this (Which I'd really rather they not!:) Endless Waters Chapter 10a Poster 7-1-02 As McNoll and Ernie approached Serena and Darien, Darien whispered in Serena's ear, "Sere, remember what I told you...remember that I'll protect you and that I love you." Serena nodded, trembling. "Get up!" sneered McNoll at the embracing couple. They obeyed, and stood there holding hands. McNoll motioned to the two crewmen. "Take care of these two, then bring them upstairs." Then he left. One of the crewmen approached Darien, and the other, the one who had sneered at them earlier, approached Serena. Ernie waved him off. "I'll take care of her." The crewman left. Serena whimpered slightly as Ernie pulled her from Darien and tied her hands behind her back. The other crewman did the same to Darien as he stuggled against him. "Please!" Darien pleaded with Ernie. "Let her go! Just take me! I'm the one you want!" "Oh, but you're wrong. I want her too!" Ernie roughly pressed a piece of thick tape to Serena's lips and her eyes widened in fear. "Serena...just remember what I told you...remmpphhh." Darien was cut off as the crewman holding him covered his mouth with tape. "Don't cover his eyes, Wilson. McNoll and I want them to see every bit of it." Darien glared at him. "Come on. Let's go. McNoll doesn't like to wait." Ernie and the crewman pushed Serena and Darien into the hallway. Ernie put his arm in a menacing grip around Serena's waist, and Wilson tried to hold on to Darien as best he could. Serena stumbled and fell down as Ernie began leading her up the service stairs. "Get up!" he snarled, roughly pulling her. A tear slowly trickled down her cheek. "Aww, the poor brat's crying. Want me to make it better?" Serena tried to protest behind her gag. "Looks like you don't have a choice on that one, sweetheart." Ernie leaned over and kissed her cheek. She glared at him. "What, you didn't enjoy that?" Darien's heart ached at Serena's expression. He wanted to lunge at Ernie and throw him overboard. When they reached the top deck, it was completely deserted. Darien struggled against Wilson as Ernie ripped the tape from Serena's mouth and forced her to look up at him. Suddenly, Darien felt the ropes around his wrists loosen. Wilson was untying him! Darien looked at him in amazement, but he didn't return his gaze. Ernie was slowly pulling Serena's head to his. Finally, Wilson undid the ropes. Darien tore the tape from his mouth, rushed to Serena and Ernie, and pulled them apart right before their lips would've touched. He began trying to undo the ropes from Serena's wrists. "What?" Ernie cried out to Wilson in shock. "You were supposed to hold him off! Idiot!" "This isn't right," Wilson said slowly. "Hurting Captain McAllister was bad enough, but bringing the girl into it...it just isn't right!" "You're just weak!" "No, you are! You only see what your desires in everything. You want more power, so you join McNoll. You want the girl, so you hurt her! You're twisted!" Ernie approached Wilson and punched him in the face. He quickly retaliated. As Ernie as Wilson fought, Darien continued trying to untie the ropes from Serena's wrists. When he was finally able to, she threw her arms around his neck. Darien wrapped her in his protective embrace as she cried into his shoulder. "It's ok Sere. You're ok now...you're with me...it's ok." Darien focused only on Serena and trying to comfort her, and ignored the shouts of Wilson and Ernie as they fought. The couple just stood on deck, embracing, Serena trembling violently in Darien's arms. A few minutes later, Serena sniffed, "Darien, why is it so quiet?". Realization dawned on Darien as he looked away from Serena. "Oh no...McNoll." "That's right," said a voice from behind them. They slowly turned around to see Adam McNoll in front of the two unconscious forms of Wilson and Ernie. "Neither one of them were worth anything," he spat. "And I don't care about the girl either." He slowly approached Darien. "I'm only after you, 'captain' McAllister. I'm only after you." McNoll ripped the couple apart and punched Darien sqaure in the nose. Darien recovered quickly, catching McNoll by surprise when he brutally smacked his chin. "Stop it!," Serena screamed. "Leave him alone!" She tried to pull them apart, but her efforts were useless, and the fight continued. "You stupid little boy!" shouted McNoll as Darien ducked, effectively avoiding McNoll's fist. "You have no idea what you've gotton yourself into!" Darien ignored him, and smashed his arm into McNoll's stomach, causing him to fall on his back on the deck. "Is that right?" he asked furiously, standing above him. "You don't look so brave now that you're stuck on the floor." Suddenly, Serena spotted a group of people rushing towards them from the other end of the ship. She shielded her eyes with her hands and sighed in relief when she realized that Katie and Brickens were in the lead, followed by five men in uniform. "Hold it right there, McNoll!," one of them shouted. "This is the Coast Guard. Your little game is over!" McNoll, still lying on his back on deck, smirked at Darien. "Is it?" He then kicked the backs of Darien's knees as hard as he could. The move caught Darien by surprise, and caused him to fall over, knocking his head on the brightly-colored tile at the edge of the pool. McNoll smiled evilly at Serena. "Say goodbye to him, sweetheart." Then he pushed Darien's unconscious body into the pool. End Chapter 10a :::cackles:::: Bet ya weren't expecting that.
