to do this sooner...but you see...a few of us (Me, Roz, Suzie Q, Crickett,
Lady J, Cree, Linda)...had a little Season Finale get together in L.A...We
went to the Gay Pride festival..celebrated Roz's birthday, and we also
attended the L.A Gay Pride Parade . (where I was a huge hit with my "My
Barbie Is A Crack Whore" t- shirt....and I was unable to compose my recap on
Sunday night. But I'm home now, I've bathed , unpacked and have paid "Proper
attention " to my man...so now I will share my thoughts with you. I haven't
read the boards so I'm sorry if the same thing is being said again...so..
here we go....
This episode was basically one big comic book...with many super hero's, evil
villains, spells that threaten the weak and all that stuff that puts our
gang in harms way and the rebuilding after the battles.
Well let me start with the lezzies and the pregnancy.......there's about 5
minutes of my life that I'll NEVER be able to get back.and that's all I have
to say about that.
Michael, Ben & Hunter.....Okay can I just say...I FUCKING LOVE HUNTER...I
love the actor and the character. I love the "Happy Family" all going for a
bike ride. It was beyond fucking cute....Now about "Mom "O" Madame"...let me
just say the bitch needs to die....I mean really...how sad is it that
Hunter would rather take the risk of going with a man whom he KNOWS is a
killer and could kill him, but is terrified at the idea of going with his
mom...I kept thinking of the line in "Nuts" with Barbara Striesand when she
was asked why she would prostitute herself than rather deal with a mother
who allowed her to be molested, and she said "It hurts less to sell yourself
to strangers.", which is exactly how Hunter must feel...And can I just say..
I FUCKING LOVED MICHAEL in this episode...that's right I said it...I loved
him here. I understand how Ben wanted to do everything the legal and pardon
the bad pun, the "Straight" way...but I loved it more how "Zephyr" ...I mean
Michael swooped down and said "Fuck NO"....Michael completely grew a pair.
despite all the other cruel things he has done and said in the past...his
Super Hero heart really came to the forefront....Although when they chase
Hunter into the street though I must admit it is quite funny to watch
Captain HIV"..I mean Ben dodging the car...all he's missing is the
one-legged cartoon hop turn....ohhh and the hug with Ben and Hunter
completely reduced me to tears. That was the most poignant and beautiful..
.I sincerely hope that Hunter is back next season...I think he is a great
addition to the cast.
Ted and Emmett...I could careless about Ted anymore. I don't feel sorry for
him. I just don't. I love that Emmett stood his ground....I also loved the
way "Dynamic Dyke" ..uhh I mean Melanie intervened on the sly when she
thought that Emmett's resolve was slipping....sometimes you have to but in.
and I say that she was there at the right time to save Emmett from Ted's
words and lies......As far as Ted goes, I say you got what you wanted
Everyone in the room wanted you, you wanted to be the hottest thing there.
Well that video showed you had everyone's attention.. Ted has this warped
image of over the seasons of being like and feeling like Brian....Well Ted,
you still don't get it.....I loved loved loved seeing Blake again....it was
poetic justice that he would be Ted's counselor. This is also very telling
that I think Ted will be somewhat straightened out next season. As in season
1 Blake left the rehab when Ted made him go,....but he obviously went back
for ...for himself, not for Ted. Since Ted went for himself, I have a
feeling that this storyline is over also...THANK GOD!...but on that note,
just had to say ...Scott Lowell did a FAN "Tabulous" job playing an addict.
Emmett & Rage..uhhh I mean Brian on the dance floor.I FUCKING LOVED THIS
SCENE!...this is Brian at his best....He's helped Ted on numerous occasions.
Now he has to help Emmett. This scene is soo telling of Brian in so many
ways. We have never truly seen Emmett having a true crisis . George dying
was beyond something he could control, his brief foray into straight life
was a personal issue within himself...but Emmett's bounce back personality
always saw him through. Brian saw that Emmett was truly having a hard time
with this, and he Rage...uhhh I mean Brian went into action. He told him the
truth, to forget about Ted. Emmett thinks Brian is heartless, well I think
the line "It takes some practice" shows that Brian does care for those
around him, but after all the trauma with his family, it probably did take
some getting used to and a helluva lot of practice to let go of those whom
you obviously love , when all they do is hurt you. When he told Emmett to
Keep Dancing"...that was the BEST line of them all...Brian let him know that
you have to keep moving through life and to let nothing or NO ONE stop you
or hold you back....I also love how as Emmett walks away, Brian stands and
waits for him...he doesn't just say his peace and leave...he waits for
Emmett ...Rage...uhhh I mean Brian holds his hand as he pulls him out of his
own emotional darkness...And Rage's mind controlling ability helps Emmett to
keep dancing and dancing and dancing..Say what you want about Rage ..uhhh
Brian being heartless, but no one is ever there for his friends like he is..
FUCKING PERFECT SCENE!
Brian and Justin......AHHHHHHHHHH...can I just say I'm still in my "Bliss
Bubble".. I love how they are talking more...Yes I miss the hot , pelvic
thrusting, ass stabbing, sex...but hey, my boys are reaching a new level....
TRUE INTIMACY!...Although Brian DID NOT sell his possessions off to impress
Justin with his noble act...he obviously cares about what Justin thinks of
him....The intimate moment on the bed was so beautiful...Brian obviously has
much respect for the "Asshole" who told him about self-sacrifice.....and the
"Asshole" is obviously impressed with the man who does so. Brian may have
maxxed out five Gold cards, his beautiful center piece is sitting in the
middle of the floor where the coffee table was, his naked guy painting is
gone, and his liquid Flat screen is gone also....Brian has something more...
his dignity and his self respect as a "Gay Man"...who will NOT compromise
who he is for the straight world. As JT ...uhhh Justin's comic shows..."Com"
Stockwell may have sent Jason Kemp and Brian Kinney to the slaughterhouse...
Jason losing his life, and Brian losing his material possessions...But Rage
..uhhh Brian made sure that as of this battle in the war, the losses were
kept to a minimum.
The victory celebration made the evening....My boys are fine, except Justin
my have a broken breast plate with the way Debbie practically knocked him
into a wall she was so happy about the outcome of the election....Hunter
has a true family , even if he has to disappear for a little while to keep
it....Jay-Z has been elected mayor of Pittsburgh...ohhh wait that's not
Jay-Z...It's Deekins....damn....the mayor got the Gangsta-lean going on in
his election posters...all that's missing is him rapping to a funky beat
Cree's "Ethan Is One Ghetto Muthafucka", and his posse ..uuhhh I mean staff
squatting in the "Jail Pose" at his feet.and his campaign slogan being "Can
I Get A What What".....Vic and Rodney are still together....Daphne is hiding
in relief that there will be no "Beat Down " administered.....Gus was at the
victory party still blowing the party favor from Hunter's birthday...only
somehow he managed to walk all the way to Liberty Ave by himself...since the
Muncher's have forgotten that new kid does not mean "Forget Old Kid"....Rage
..uhhh I mean Brian has SURPASSED Superman in his fight for .."Truth,
Justice..and The Right To Be Gay"...uhhhh I mean the "American Way"....
On that note I just wanted to address something about this show. many
criticize Cowlip and the writers and all those involved with the show for
not making very serious social statements, for it's stereotypical portrayal
of gay men ...and I wanted to tell you...QAF, Cowlip and everyone involved
has made the biggest and BEST social statement of them all.... Do YOU know
what it is?...
I normally ask tell me what you think...but I must say... I DON'T GIVE A
DAMN.
SEASON 3 RULED!.....I'm content...I am happy...bring on the hiatus.
