Episode 214

At Babylon, Justin is working that night, dancing on the bar and
getting plenty of tips.  Ted, Emmett, and Michael are watching
Justin.  Michael cant believe that he went from high school
senior to go-go boy in less than a year.  Ted drawls that Justin is
another success story from Father Kinneys Home For Runaway
Boys.  And some people think hes a bad influence, Emmett
adds.  Ted says that if he were Brian he would go crazy knowing
that all these hot guys at Babylon were pawing his boyfriend.

Brian joins them in, drawling that the loud music must have damaged
his hearing because he could have sworn that Ted said If I were Brian.
Ted sulks off and Michael adds that it has got to bother Brian a little
that Justin is go-go dancing.  Especially on the bar.  Everyone knows
that the only way you get to dance on the bar is if you let the boss blow
you.  Brian defends Justin using his own motto--Its only business.
Emmett responds that Justin is trying to get ahead by getting head.
Brian snaps that Justin is trying to make his own way and not take
handouts.

Justin comes over then, counting his tips and thrilled by how much hes
making.  Brian says that you could put a child through school with that
type of money.  Mikey thinks the child should be at home.  Brian
agrees, he wants Justin to come home.  Justin says he cant because hes
working until two.  Emmett is concerned by how tired Justin looks.  Hes
exhausting himself working all night and trying to go to school all day.
How is he going to keep this up.  Especially at home? Ted snidely adds.
Justin tells them not to worry about him and gives Brian a reassuring kiss
as his sleazy boss Gary Sapperstein--known to Brian as Sap--walks by
and tells Justin to get back to work.  Hes paying Justin to dance, not
make out with his boyfriend.  Justin says that hes on a break and Brian
adds that Justin is just keeping Saps customers happy.  Sap declares that
they are *his* customers to worry about, not Brians, and Justins break
is over.  Brian unhappily watches as Sap leads Justin away and offers
him drugs to keep him alert.  Brian is hating this.

At Georges, he and Emmett are in the stables where George
wants them to go horseback riding, but Em is afraid of horses.
George wants Emmett to try new things, go places, travel. George
wants to take Emmett on a trip around the world, anywhere Em
wants to go, George wants to take him.

At the diner, Emmett tells Ted, Michael, and Ben that George is
going to take him on a trip around the world.  Ted and Ben talk
about the places they would like to go to someday.  Debbie
comes over to serve their food and she has everyones plate
but Bens.  Ben politely asks about his breakfast and Deb snaps
that she only has so many hands.  Michaels upset with the way
shes treating Ben.  She never greets him, only speaks when she
has to, Ben always gets served last and his food is cold by then.
Ben reminds that he ordered Wheaties, cereal is suppose to be
cold.  Deb says shes busy and doesnt have time for small talk
with Ben.  She goes to get his cereal.

A hung-over Justin is rudely awakened by the blaring of an alarm
clock.  Justin tries to reach for the clock, but Brian, who is
dressed and ready for work, jerks it out of his reach.  Brian asks
about Justins morning classes and Justin says he ditched them.
Brian asks how hes suppose to get his education if hes out
fucking around all hours of the night.  Justin replies that he
learned that from Brian.  And hes working, not fucking around.
Brian calls him on the drugs he saw Sap offer Justin and Justin
responds by saying he made 400 hundred bucks in one night.
Brian reminds that Justin wont need that money for tuition if
he gets kicked out of school for ditching classes.  Justin snaps
that Brian sounds like his father and to fuck off.  A ticked off
Brian jerks the covers off Justin and turns the alarm clock
back on sitting it on the stairs as he leaves.  Justin, too tired
to get up and turn it off, puts a pillow over his ears to drown
out the sound.

Deb is working at the diner when Detective Hovarth drops
by.  Hes there to ask Debbie out on a date, but she declines.

Emmett is giving his final performance on Teds website.  Afterwards,
his friends and fellow co-workers give him a farewell party.  Em
gives a little speech, saying hes so lucky to have found George and
that all the guys there will find their prince charming someday, too.
Em starts to open his gifts.

Brian and Justin are standing in the crowd together.  Justin is
nearly dead on his feet and Brian is concerned.  Justin says he
is working from nine to two that night.  Brian thinks Justin is
exhausted and needs to rest.  Justin says he will be ok.  Brian
replies that Sap and his drugs will see to that.

More of Em opening his presents before cutting back to Brian
and Justin.  Brian reminds Justin that he has the money to pay
Justins college tuition.  If Justin wont accept it as a gift, then
how about a loan.  Justin insists that he doesnt want any hand-
outs from Brian.  Brian says its not, its a loan.  Justin will pay
him back when he finishes school and gets a job and dont be
such a twat about it.  Justin insists he isnt being a twat.  He just
wants to be able to take care of himself for once, not always
having to let Brian provide for him.  Once Brian told Justin
that he wanted to make Justin into the best homosexual that
Justin could be.  Doesnt that also include being a man? Brian
replies that sometimes being a man means knowing when to
accept help.

Emmett and Ted hug good-bye, falling onto Fetchs bed
together and laughing.

At home, Debbie tells Vic that Hovarth asked her out, but
she turned him down because of his previous homophobic
comments.  Vic cant believe she turned him down based
on one bad joke.  He encourages her to call Hovarth and
go out with him.

Underneath a bed that is squeaking and bouncing, groans
from up above and then we see . . . Emmett and Michael
are sitting on Ems suitcases, trying to force them to zip.
LOL!!  Em teases Michael that now Mikey and Ben can
have the apartment all to themselves without worrying
that they will wake him up.  Georges limo pulls up
outside.  Em is worried he will embarrass George when
theyre abroad because he isnt very refined.  Mikey is
certain George doesnt think of Emmett as trash.  He
cares for Emmett.  Em is so happy that all his dreams are
coming true. Michael says he deserves this happiness.
George comes up them and Em says an emotional good-bye
to Mikey.

Justin talks to Sap, saying he really needs the night off to
finish an art project for class.  His professor is going to
kick him out if he doesnt get it done.  Sleazy Sap says
he will give Justin the entire weekend off . . . but Justin
has to do him a favor in return.

At the loft, Justin is drawing on the computer when Brian
comes up and kisses him on the cheek.  Brian sits down
beside him and looks at the works he has printed off.  Brian
likes one of the drawings and says he wants to hang it in
the loft.  Justin is touched that he does.  Brian jokes that
Justin can tell people that hes hung then.  Justin says he
already tells people that.  They kiss.  Such a cute moment.
But then Brian asks how Justin got the night off.  Justin
answers that Sap gave him the whole weekend off because
he agreed to go to an after-hours party that Sap is having
for a few of his friends.  Brian starts to ask questions about
the party--whose going to be there and why was Justin
invited.  Justin says its just Saps friends and Sap wants
a few of the dancers at the party for decorations.  Brian
replies that he can only imagine what type of friends Sap
has.  The guy is a total sleaze.  Justin disagrees--Brian
doesnt even know Sap that well.  Brian fires back, saying
he knows how Justin got to dance on the bar.  Justin doesnt
deny that he let Sap blow him, but tries to act like its no
big deal.  Brians not happy and offers Justin five-thousand-
dollars for the drawing he liked.  Justin says the picture
isnt for sale and Brian replies, No.  Just you.  Ouch.
That one hurt.

Mel and Lindz get Debbie ready for her date and she looks
great.  Hovarth arrives for their date.

Michael comes over for a visit and learns that Debbie and
Hovarth are going out.  Hes furious about it.

On the plane, Emmett and George are enjoying first class.
Theyre all lovely towards one another and George wishes
they could be together right there.  Em says they can.  Hell
go to the Mens Room and George can follow in a few
minutes.

On their date, Debbie and Hovarth--first names Carl--talk
about their kids.  Carl is a widower with two kids, a son
who is in military service and a daughter who is married to
a black man.  Carl disapproves, but hes working on it.  He
doesnt disapprove because the man is black, but because
he worries about them and their children.  He thinks life is
hard enough as it is without adding more complications.
Deb reveals that Michael is dating a man who is HIV
positive and shes worried.  Carl can understand that.
They really seem to be hitting it off.

Emmett and George are having sex in the small Mens
Room when George collapses, clutching his chest.  He
falls on Em and pins him against the wall, forcing Em
to yell for someone to come help them.

A happy Deb comes home from her date to face a furious Michael.
He cant believe shes dating a homophobe like Carl.  Debbie
defends Carl.  Hes not such a bad man after all.  They have
one nasty argument and say some harsh things to one another and
it ends with Debbie slapping Michael.

At Saps party, Justin isnt having a good time.  Everyone there
is taking drugs and getting wasted.  Creepy older men are all
cruising him and trying to put the moves on him.  One of his
fellow Babylon dancers comes over to talk about how great
the party is.  Justin agrees just to go along.  Some creepy guy
draws the other kids attention away.  Sap comes over to Justin
and tells him to loosen up.  Sap offers him a joint and tells him
to take off his shirt.  Justin is suppose to be decoration, after
all.  Sleazy Sap makes a pass at Justin as one of his even sleazier
friends comes over to leer at Justin. suggesting that they offer him
a drink.  Sap says they will later.  Its clear they intend for Justin
to be more than just decoration tonight.  Justin watches as the
other dancer is getting pawed by Saps friends and being offered
one of Saps drinks, which is laced with who knows what.

Ted and Brian are getting drunk together at Woodys and Ted
is feeling sorry for himself because hes alone.  Brian has Justin,
Emmett has George, Michael has Ben.  He has no one.  Brian
drawls that the reason Ted doesnt have a boyfriend is because
he really doesnt want one.  If he had a boyfriend then it would
challenge this belief that Ted has of himself as someone that
no man wants.  So he goes after guys he knows will hurt him
and then whines about it, but in truth, hes gotten exactly what
he wanted which is nothing.  A drunk Ted thinks that makes
sense and thanks Brian for the observation.  LOL!!  Priceless!

Michael storms up then, complaining that his mom hit him. The guys
are like So what?  She hits you all the time. Michael says that this
time it was for real, she meant it.  Brian asks what Mikey did to
deserve it.  Mikey doesnt want to talk about it.  But then says it was
because he told her she was pathetic for dating Hovarth.  Drunk Ted
thinks they might have to take away her honorary Queer Button.
Michael asks what happened to her principles and Brian replies the
same thing that happens to theirs--theyre forgotten when you meet
a man you want.  Brian wants to leave.

Michael is driving Ted and Brian home in the Jeep and Drunk Brian is
purposely antagonizing him, saying that Mikey is jealous because hes
not his Mommies little man anymore.  Shes found a big old dick.
Michael is not liking this.  Ted threatens to toss Brian out of the Jeep
if he keeps it up.  Then blue lights flash behind them and Michael pulls
over for the cop.  Ted is frantic, asking if Brian has any drugs on him.
Brian replies that he has 16 pounds of coke and 24 ounces of heroin.
Ted tells him not to joke and Brian replies that he isnt.

The cop comes up to the window and says that Michael was
really speeding.  Much to Teds disbelief, Michael starts to
mouth off to the cop.  The cop tries to be nice, but Michael
is a total bitch to him.  The cop orders them out of the Jeep.
Theyre all getting arrested.

Justin is doing drugs at Saps party and is pretty high.  Sleazy Sap offers
him one of the laced drinks.  Sap wants to show Justin around the place.
Justin can barely walk straight as hes lead to another room where his
fellow dancer is also drugged out of his mind and getting gang banged
by Saps friends.  Thats their plan for Justin, too.  Sap and his sleazy
friend from earlier start trying to take Justins clothes off, but he tells
them no.  One guy shoves a popper under his nose while Sap tries to
undo his pants.  Justin collapses into the other guys arms for a second
before coming to and kicking Sap in the teeth.  A bleeding Sap falls
back while Justin staggers free and  starts to leave.  Sap yells at him
that hes fired.  (That was a hard scene to watch, much less describe!)

Em is sitting on the bathroom floor as a now deceased
George is being seen by a doctor who was on board.
The doctor says that George died of a heart attack and
covers George up as he leaves.  Em sits alone with
George and says a quiet good-bye.

In jail, Ted is disillusioned.  Its nothing like those hot porn films
hes seen about men behind bars.  Brian wonders who he has to
blow to get some decent coffee.  Enter a big strapping cop.  Brian
can do that.  (Ha, ha).  Hovarth follows, though, and lets the guys
out.  He asks for a word with Michael.  He says that if Michael
has a problem with him, thats fine, but dont take it out on another
cop who was just doing his job.  Michael says he doesnt like
Hovarth and doesnt want him dating Debbie because hes a
homophobe.  Hovarth says he doesnt hate gays, he just doesnt
understand being gay.  Much the same as Mikey doesnt understand
being straight.  But he likes Debbie and wants to keep seeing her.
Hovarth will have the arrest removed from all of their records, but
Michael still has to pay the speeding ticket.

At the diner, Michael and Ben are at the counter waiting on
service when Debbie comes over.  Ben orders cereal while
Mikey orders his food and apologizes in the same breath.  Deb
wants a more sincere apology.  Ben offers to leave but Michael
says no, he should stay for this.  Michael apologizes again, saying
he was wrong to judge Hovarth without getting to know him first.
And Deb can date whomever she pleases without his approval.
But so can he.  His point about Ben is made.  Debbie goes off to
get Ben his order.  Ben thanks her and smiles at Michael, proud
of Mikey.

At the loft, Justin is surprisingly not hung over, but in a chipper
mood.  He has several drawings surrounding him as Brian comes
in.  Justin teases him about breaking their agreed upon curfew,
but doesnt seem really concerned.  Justin asked what happened
to him the night before and Brian assures that Justin didnt miss
anything special.  Brian asks how the party was and Justin gives
a rather non-answer, saying he left early.  Brian comments that
the Sap must not have like that.  Fuck the Sap, Justin declares
as Brian goes into the bedroom and starts to undress for bed.
Justin says that he quit anyhow.  Brian is surprised by that.
Justin walks to the foot of the bed and says that he couldnt
work all night and then go to school during the day.  It was
counterproductive to his goals.  Brian gets in bed and covers
up as Justin says that he reconsidered Brians offer and he
wants to take him up on the loan, if it still stands.  Brian
peeks under the covers and declares that It still stands.
Justin laughs and tugs off his shirt, climbing into bed with
Brian.  He says the wants this to be a loan.  They have to
discuss interest and a repayment schedule and he wants
it in writing.  Brian agrees.  He pushes Justin down on the
bed, leaning over him as he seems to contemplate before
asking the question--What made Justin change his mind.
Justin replies that sometimes being a man means knowing
when to accept help.  Brian sighs and rests his forehead
against Justins.  They start to kiss and Justin rolls on top
of Brian, tugging his sweat pants off.  Brian reaches for
a condom, but Justin takes it away from him and starts
to open the wrapper.  Justin kisses Brian and starts to
roll Brian over.  Brian pauses, staring up into Justins eyes.
Justin kisses him again and then Brian allows himself to
be rolled over onto his stomach.  Justin puts the condom
on and then, oh my, tops Brian.  Justin enters Brian whose
face is an expression of sheer enjoyment.  And, well, then
the episode ends.  Dammit!!!!  Why couldnt that scene
have been much, much longer?!?!
