Episode 207
Emmett is jerking off for Ted�s porn site and is still a huge success.
Ted is thrilled with how well his site is now doing thanks to Em.
At Michael�s comic book store, Debbie has brought some food by
and going on and on about being proud of him. Ben comes by then
to return something that Michael left at his house. Debbie�s thrilled,
thinking Mikey is involved with Ben. Mikey tells her he isn�t sleep-
ing with Ben. Too bad for him. Deb gushes over Ben some more.
Ben and Mikey talk and Ben asks how Mikey feels about him being
HIV positive. Mikey says it isn�t a problem for him. He�s still
interested in seeing Ben.
Mel, Lindsay, and Leda talk about Mel and Lindz needing money for
their wedding. Lindz wants to ask her parents to help out since they
helped pay for her sister�s weddings.
At the gym, the guys tease Michael about dating a professor.
They want to meet him, but Michael is reluctant. He wants
�this one to live�.
Em encounters more fans of �Fetch Dixon�. Ted intervenes,
not allowing Emmett to become too friendly with his fans. He
wants the guys to have to pay if they want to see Emmett. Mikey
comments on Emmett being a star now, but Em insists that he is
still just a simple country boy.
Lindsay has dinner with her parents who are all excited because
her sister might be pregnant and they�re going to have a grandchild.
Lindz reminds that they already have one--Gus. She makes a few
hints about her up coming wedding which all get ignored and finally
asks out-right if her parents will help with it. They won�t because it
isn�t a �real� wedding.
Michael and Ben are out for a walk. They talk about Ben�s book
that Michael has just finished reading. He loved it and comments
on a few things in the book. Ben says that he wants to live for the
now, not regret the past or worry about the future. They kiss. Ben
wants Michael to go and experience some of the here and now with
him.
At Babylon, Ted is coming onto guys, using his website as an excuse
to �recruit� them. Brian wants to meet some of Ted�s new �recruits�
for his site. Justin notices that Ted is wearing a Rolex, which he can
now afford thanks to Jerk@Work. Emmett is surrounded by fans and
it�s starting to go to his ego, as Ted�s success has already gone to his.
Em is cruising one of the hot guys but Ted says no, Em can�t be out
tricking tonight. He wants Em to go home and get some rest for
tomorrow. Ted then starts hitting on Em�s would-be trick. Brian, being
the shit stirrer that he is, just has to stir up some shit now. He puts the
idea in Emmett�s head that Ted is leaving him out. Ted is getting all the
riches and all the hot guys while Emmett is doing all the work and making
the website a success. Justin just shakes his head in amusement as Em
plays right into Brian�s game.
Ben and Michael enter Babylon then. Ben strips off his shirt--my
gosh is he gorgeous!!!!--and they hit the dance floor. Justin sees them
and comments on the hot guy that Mikey is with. Brian notices Ben
and just smirks (the reason for that becoming apparent in a later
episode). Ted calls for Michael to come over.
Michael is a bit reluctant to introduce Ben to his friends. He warns
Ben how they can be sometimes before he and Ben go over to the
bar and introductions are made. Ted recognizes Ben from his book
and an interview in �The Advocate� that Ben did. It was so . . .
honest, Ted recalls, his expression changing. He remembers from the
book and the article that Ben is HIV positive. Ben and Michael go
back to the dance floor. Justin thinks Michael�s new man is gorgeous,
but Brian declares that he�s �all right�. (Been there, done that, right
Bri?). Ted reveals to the guys that Ben is positive. Justin is surprised,
but Brian barely reacts.
Lindsay is upset at her parents over the wedding. She just wants them
to treat her the same way they treat her sister. Mel suggests that maybe
they treat her sister better because her sister lets them be a part of her
life. Lindz and Mel have never really reached out to Lindz�s parents
or tried to socialize with them. They decide to invite them over and
have a gathering with Lindz�s parents and their friends.
At the diner, Ted is giving Michael shit about Ben being positive. Ted
is worried over Mikey�s health and starts suggesting all types of bad
scenarios--a condom could break, Ben�s gums could bleed, etc. Brian
retaliates by suggesting some utterly ridiculous scenario. Like what if
Ben accidentally cums while Mikey is bent over tying his shoes and it
shots across the room and goes up Mikey�s ass? Ted insists that this is
serious and Michael and his friends need to take it that way. Emmett
tries to tell Ted to chill, but Ted reminds Em of his own HIV scare that
time. Ted doesn�t care how politically incorrect it sounds, he wouldn�t
date someone that was positive.
Debbie has come over to wait on them and over-hears. She scolds
Ted for saying that, telling them that the only reason no one at that
table isn�t infected is because they�re lucky. It could easily be one
of them considering the way they party and trick around. She thinks
it�s a terrible thing to judge a person based on their HIV status.
Michael thanks her, and then reveals that Ben is positive. Debbie
looks like she�s just been slapped in the face. She tries to hide it,
but it�s obvious her feelings have just changed in a second. It was
one thing when they were talking hypothetically, but something very
different when she realizes they were talking about her only child.
Em goes to work with a list of new demands, put into his head
after his conversation with Brian. Ted can�t believe what all Em
now expects. Ted refuses. They argue. Em says that without him
Ted would have no successful site. Ted says that without his site
Em would have no job. A furious Emmett quits.
At home, Debbie is cleaning like a mad woman. Vic comes in and
asks her what is wrong. She doesn�t want to talk about it, but Vic
presses and she finally breaks down and tells Vic about Ben. Vic�s
is like, �So?�. Debbie snaps that she doesn�t want Michael getting
anything. Vic is angry at her attitude. She says that, for the first
time in her life, she wishes her son wasn�t gay. Uh-oh, Mikey has
entered the house without them knowing and over-hears the whole
thing. He�s furious. He and Debbie argue. She demands that he
stop seeing Ben. Mikey refuses, telling her it�s none of her
business who he dates.
Oh, such a nice view here!! Naked Brian and Justin in bed, wrapped
around each other, lots of making out. Justin says that he and Brian
are lucky. Just think of what Michael and Ben have to deal with when
they have sex. Brian doesn�t really want to discuss it and teases
Justin about having a pimple on his ass. Justin is serious about this
discussion, though, and says that, no matter how long Ben and
Michael are together, they can never �do it raw�. Brian reminds that
he and Justin have never barebacked before either. Justin says they
could, though, if they wanted to. They�re both negative. Brian gets
all seductive and asks if Justin wants them to do it raw. Does Justin
want Brian to cum inside him, with nothing between them? Justin is
all caught up in the moment and says yes he does. Brian is pissed then
and tells Justin not to be stupid. Never, ever let anyone--even Brian--
have sex with him without a condom. Justin argues that Brian isn�t

gets that just loving Brian isn�t enough to protect either one of them,
only condoms will do that. Brian hands him one and Justin puts it
on Brian. Brian rolls him over then and enters him--oh, such a
sexy scene. Both moan in enjoyment. Brian laces his fingers though
Justin�s, whispering, �I want you safe. And I want you around for
a long time�. Damn, what a hot scene! Just too bad it ended so
abruptly for a shot of Mel carrying a pot of flowers.
Anyhow, at the girl�s home, they�re setting up for their little party
in which Lindsay�s parents are the guests of honor. Brian comes
by to take Gus to the park and meets Leda. They�re birds of a
feather and instantly like each other. Leda suggest she do Brian
with her strap-on. Brian almost seems interested! LOL!! Brian
leaves with Gus and Lindz�s mother calls, claiming that Lindz�s
father hurt his back and they can�t come.
At the park, Michael and Brian are swinging Gus in the kiddie
swing and Michael is complaining about Debbie�s reaction to
Ben. He can�t believe that his mother said she wished he wasn�t
gay. Brian says he�s glad that Mikey is a big queer and kisses him
on the cheek. Some clueless lady walks by and comments on what
a lovely couple they are . . . and how much Gus looks like Mikey.
(Hey, I told you she was clueless!) After she leaves, Brian starts to
say that �she� is right, but Mikey disagrees--Gus doesn�t look
anything like him! No, you dope, Debbie is right is what Brian
meant. Michael should end it with Ben. Mikey snaps at Brian and
asks what he knows. Brian replies that he knows advertising and
he knows Michael. All those advertisements for the cocktail and
HIV drugs show these great-looking guys in perfect health living
normal lives. They don�t show the side effects of those drugs.
Michael insists that he can handle whatever is to come. Brian tells
him to �handle it� then. Handle it. Kiss it. Jerk it off. Just don�t
fall in love with it.
Mel goes over to the home of Lindz�s parents to talk to them alone.
Lindz�s father looks in great health, no back troubles at all. Mel
calls them on their lie. Lindz�s mother accuses Mel of only wanting
their money. Mel says she loves Lindsay and Gus. They will never
doubt that, unlike Lindz who doubts her parents� love.
Debbie and Vic are raking the yard in silence. Vic asks how long
they�re going to be this way. Debbie tries to make up with him for
her hurtful statements. She�s just so tired of AIDS. Vic is, too. More
so than her. She says that what affects her son, affects her. They�re
back in each other�s good graces. Debbie is worried that the worst
could happen. Even if Mikey and Ben are safe, what if Mikey comes
to them one day and tells them he�s tested positive. Vic says that first
they will be upset, then they will deal with it.
At Lindz and Mel�s party, everyone is bored out of their minds.
Lindz goes upstairs to kill herself, she claims.
Brian, Justin, and Leda are in the kitchen. Justin complains about
the flowers and how they�re killing his allergies. Brian thinks that
is a good excuse to leave. He and Justin start to walk out but Leda
blocks their path. If she�s stuck at this dull party, then so are they.
Brian produces some E then and Leda likes that.
Emmett and Ted are still mad at each other, arguing in front of everyone.
Brian drugs the punch with the E and then goes upstairs to Lindz�s
bedroom where she is laying down, feeling sorry for herself. He
hops on the bed beside her, lights up a joint, and they talk about her
parents. Does she really need their approval? Lindz takes a puff
from the joint and admits that she does care about them and what
they think. Brian reminds her of a time in school when Lindz�s
girlfriend dumped her at a party and Brian had to cheer her up.
Remember what he did? Lindz does. Brian drugged the punch
with E and then put on some B-52�s. The sound of �Love Shack�
being played downstairs floats up to greet them and Brian reminds
that those who forget their lessons must repeat them.
Brian and Lindsay go downstairs to find that the party is very lively
now! Everyone is high, some half-naked, and dancing around.
Leda has Justin down on his knees and is straddling him like a horse.
Justin is high and laughing his ass off about it. Brian joins them and
he and Justin start to dance. Mel and Lindz do, too. Leda retrieves
her aforementioned strap-on and Brian drags her across the room by
it. Justin is acting like he�s licking it when . . . Lindsay�s parents walk
in. Apparently, they have reconsidered and decided to come after all.
Lindsay�s mother is horrified at the gathering and wants to leave, but
Lindz�s father seems interested in staying. Lindz tells her mother
that she can leave then because this is a group of Lindz and Mel�s
friends who accept them for who they are. So she doesn�t need her
parents� approval. They leave. Brian is proud that she�s seen that.
At Jerk@Work, Em comes by to pick up his things. He and Ted
talk and start to say that they�re sorry and make up. Ted agrees
to Emmett�s demands and Em comes back to work for him.
Michael and Ben are making out on Ben�s couch. Michael
asks for the condoms and Ben tells him they�re in the bathroom
medicine cabinet. Michael goes to get them, but stops short
when he opens the cabinet and comes face to face with Ben�s
reality. Pills bottles. Lots and lots of pill bottles are lined up
inside the bathroom cabinet.
Nekkid Ben--damn he�s gorgeous--comes in the bathroom then
and hugs up to Michael. He starts to kiss Mikey�s shoulder and
neck while Michael fumbles with the box of condoms. Mikey
says that he �can�t do it� then and Ben assumes he�s talking
about getting the box open. He reaches for it and Michael
corrects the misunderstanding--He can�t sleep with Ben. He
thought he could. He thought he could deal with it, but he
can�t. They�re looking at each other in the mirror. Ben tries
to act like it�s ok, but he�s clearly hurt. Michael apologizes
and Ben is all nice about it, saying it�s better they know now
before someone gets hurt. (But, Ben, *you* are already hurt!)
Ben releases Michael and leaves the bathroom. Michael
sadly stares at himself in the mirror, not looking too proud of
the person he sees. He puts the condoms back and closes
the medicine cabinet.
