| Okay, this is going to be about my addiction to KISS! I'll keep it brief, I promise! It all started in the early 70's,when KISS was on a TV show called "IN CONCERT" a great show, I saw many great bands on there. My first impression when I saw the name KISS in the TV Guide was "must be a girl band" lol When I saw them I said "they look like Mickey Mouse wearing leather"! I was more impressed by their look then by their sound, even though the next day I went to the record store (remember records?) and bought the first album and the owner said "since you're the first person to buy this record, here's the promo poster"! Well, that poster adorned my wall for years. I still have it but its well worn. OK, skip to a QUEEN concert. My date introduced me to a guy who "played bass weird", was it GENE? I don't remember, it was dark! I've seen about 20 KISS shows and was never disappointed! Notice I said shows, not concerts! They were more than music, I t was more like a BROADWAY show! KISS is and always will be one of my favorites of all time. No band can duplicate what they do, even though many try (Motley Crue was the worst)! The new bands just don't cut it with me, you can call me an old fart but NOTHING will ever make me feel what a KISS album or show did!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
