1- How did your audition with KISS come about? (I had read somewhere that your brother Bob was contacted first, any truth to that?
Bob told me to audition and it was crazy. They were loud, polite and I impressed them with my guitar but was not in the mind set of being in KISS.
2-Did you ever consider wearing make-up while a member of KISS? And , if so, what would your charecter have been?
I was never asked.. etc.. I always say I would be the Dog.. they have a Cat!
3-Did you ever go on-stage only to realize that you had no idea how the song was played? (like a brain-fart!!)
No.... I rarely get lost on stage.. I am good that way.
4- Do you have a preference as to which brand of guitar/amps that you use? Or a preference to string guage?
Love Marshall amps, and ESP and Gibson guitars... 10's for strings.. SIT.
5- Was it difficult to learn the "ACE" solos that needed to be played?
Yes and No... he is unique but his riffs are basic Jimmy Page etc.
6-From beginning to now, how was/is your relationship with the members of KISS?
Always good...
7-Is anything on your CD "Transformer" similar in anyway to things you played while with KISS?
Well of course, but I could do it all my way thats all!
8-Will you do a world tour for "Transformer"? and who will the opening act be?
No world tour.. I am in Grand Funk, so I just do some short trips.
9-Who are/were your biggest musical influences?
Hendrix, The Beatles, Led Zep, The Who, Eric Clapton, YES
10- How did you feel doing "MTVs Unplugged"? Especially when you were joined onstage by Peter Criss and Ace Frehley?
It was exciting... a bit crowded but exciting.. MTV was really happy.
11-BONUS QUESTION: How can our fans meet you and find out what Bruce is doing right now?
Well come to an expo or of course a Grand Funk show. Bruce is healing from his gunshot wound.. and staying close to home and his dog!
And on a personal note, close t my heart....How can I go about meeting my 2 favorite guitarists ever...You and Ace? LOL
