Strength of Dragons-
Chapter2
Regression
I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh or any other thingamajigs I may be interfering with. However, if I did own Yu-Gi-Oh, I would make Seto the hero of the story (sorry Yuugi).
Disclaimer-
Through one miracle or another, Anzu was able to persuade Kira into tidying her hair and face. She was unable to convince her, however, to change out of that banshee-resembling outfit. They looked quite odd as they chatted quietly in the kitchen: Anzu, all gussied up with make-up and an outfit that bragged her extraordinary figure, and might-as-well-be-wearing-her-pajamas Kira. The brunette had phoned their nearly entire social circle, demanding their immediate presences at Kiras house. Anzu could only hope that being with her friends would bring Kira into a pleasant (or at least tolerable) mood. Both girls knew what Anzu had in mind, but Kira couldnt talk her out of it no matter how hard she tried. Shed never been good at arguing, and her opponent had years of experience from disciplining Honda and Jounouchi. Like Seto, the brunette had an uncanny ability to deliver cutting blows. Then there was Kira, who had a difficult time stammering her protests. She wondered if that was the reason behind her clicks with Seto and Anzu. Each boasted traits where she lacked. Kira glanced about nervously as the doorbell pierced the air. Biting her lip, she sent a pleading glance to her friend. She didnt want the others to see her like this. For that matter, she didnt want to see the others at all. The only thing she wanted to do was curl up in a fetal position by her cell phone, perhaps drifting off into a light sleep. But Anzu completely avoided Kiras gaze, and set off wordlessly to the foyer. Moments later, the girl returned with Yuugi and Jounouchi in tow, her face flushed with anger. Yuugi didnt hesitate to offer Kira a sympathetic hug, which she accepted gladly. Its gonna be okay, Kira-chan, he reassured her. Kira nodded in return. From the corner of her eye, she noticed a bright orange cooler underneath his arm, and the way Anzu glowered at it like it was an infectious disease. Slamming the cooler unto the table, Jounouchi grinned widely at Kira, hey babe! Before she could reply, he yanked off the lid and offered her a canned beverage. She starred helplessly at the beads of water rushing over the gold-tinted surface, from behind his fingers she could make out the word: BEER. It doesnt change anything, Jounouchi shrugged. But it makes the pain go away for a while. Anzu glared death as Kira silently accepted the can. I cant believe you brought beer, she snapped at Jounouchi. I invited you here to cheer Kira up! Are you really so immature that the only encouraging thing you can do is offer alcohol? Under any other circumstance, Jounouchi wouldve replied. But the way Anzu cracked open a cold one and downed it halfway between her speech was too amusing for words. Instead, he returned his attention to Kira, hey, go ahead and open it up. Its pretty quality stuff. Kinda amazing how my old man cant afford me some socks, but he buys truckloads of expensive beer. She knew better than to drink at her age. Her parents lectured her over such things countless times in her youth. For one thing, though, shed lost her virginity long before she would ever marry, and that was a value theyd stressed the most. For another she was absolutely convinced shed obliterated her relationship with Seto. The thought of loosing him threatened another batch of tears every time it traveled through her mind. Foam traveled to the tip of the can as she opened it, and she took her first swig. The froth numbed a bit of the bitterness, but not enough to keep her face from twisting in disgust. Kira covered her mouth as she attempted to cough away the taste. Both Jounouchi and Yuugi, whom were already diminishing their beers, hooted at her expression. Kira rushed to the sink, wondering how alcohol could change Yuugis supportive personality so quickly. The water sprayed close to full blast as she gargled away the remains of the golden liquid torturing her tongue. Anzu stroked her back, liquid trash, huh? At least she isnt a mean drunk, Kira thought bitterly as she nodded. I really had to fight my way through the first can, she admitted. But it does get better. Kira turned her eyes to the table, where her beer had been left behind. The reflective surface teased her: reminding her of the painful burning of her first gulp, and the way drunken frat boys partied on TV. Obviously, it would make her feel better. No one would drink it if it wouldnt. So, she marched to the can, determination frozen in her features. Her eyes squinted as she took a timid sip, the sourness surging through her mouth. Visions of Seto echoed through her mind, and all she could hear were those three little words that threatened to destroy her completely. Forcing her gag reflex to battle, she gulped down a half a can before her feet threatened to give way. An hour brought them into Kiras living room, where they experimented with her karaoke machine. Honda and Ryou had joined them a short while ago, the latter barely touching the beer whereas Honda considered it his date for the evening. Mou Hitori no Yuugi had taken over, despite Yuugis avid protests. Citing his earlier experience with Gackts Vanilla, Yami won the battle with guilt. You cant keep using the same excuse! Yuugi had retorted, but retreated into the depths in defeat. On the other hand, Yami wasnt acting as if the previous karaoke incident bothered him. He was re-trying his luck at Vanilla, in fact. Wielding the microphone like a professional, he sang like the very lust of the lyrics plagued his soul. Jounouchi had asked if he practiced at home, but more likely the alcohol affected him differently than it did his counterpart. Anzu had joined him. Rather than lending her voice, Anzu danced with Yamis seductive gestures. She ground her buttocks into his thrusting hips, making him look rather disappointed when she ducked out between his legs. His expression changed to pleasant shock as she slapped his ass. Anzu kept to his backside, riding him like a pony. The low buzz of her cell phone turned Kiras attention away from the performance. Her voice was more than a little slurred as she drawled into the receiver, hello? Kira? Is that you? Setos voice was mildly surprised. Oh, hi baby! she squealed. Why havent you called, you naughty boy? Ive been busy. Fighting over the background noise streaming into the phone, he couldnt tell if Kira had been drinking. Guess what I want to do right now? Seto sighed, what? He disapproved of guessing games, preferring words spoken outright and unadorned. But Kiras voice sounded so wonderful. Even after such a short time, he was missing her terribly. I want to suck your dick. For the first time he could remember, Seto was speechless. Meanwhile, Yami and the others had turned the music low so they could listen in on the conversation. They cupped their hands over their mouths to keep Kira oblivious to their chuckles, eyes watering as they heard innocent Kira whispering seductively to her boyfriend. Wed do it in your office, she continued. And Id be right under your desk so you could keep on working. But wed play that game we always do, baby. The one I always win. I can get you to turn away from your work every time I can make you moan... Kira are you drunk? Seto inquired slowly. Nuh-uh. I think you are. Jounouchi says you arent drunk until youre lying on your back and puking, she retorted matter-of-factly. That weak dog doesnt know the difference between vomit and his kibble, Seto snorted. What did he give you? Beer. How much? Just three cans. Christ, he muttered. Kira, go drink a glass of water. I dont wanna, she hiccupped. Do what I say or I wont come visit this Christmas. Thats not fair! Kira he warned. Fine, you big meanie! Ill talk to you later. She slammed the phone into the couch before marching into the kitchen, the whole way chanting, Seto, you suck. To Be Continued.
