| In 2003, BallaRATS appeared at the Ballarat Agricultural Show in the Animal Nursery for the first time. We had a great time giving talks on rat care and offering people the chance to get to know some of our favourite pets! This year, we are hoping to have our first BFRS judging show, with ribbons awarded for colour, type and markings. [more info] Everyone is welcome to enter, there will be judging in adult and junior categories to be fair to all ages. This show event is not meant to be a high-stress situation, rather a fun event for rat owners to meet other ratty-owned people and to make some new friends. And of course, we all get to show off our darling ones! Volunteers for the day would be much appreciated; we also need helpers to talk to the public about ratties and to demonstrate ratty-cuddling! |
