It does not matter? ~ Can this be true?
They take a heavy message & continually  misconstrue!

They have shattered our rose beds, they destroy the tall, tall trees.
They've given us nukes and radiation, but me - they can't appease.

True - they've given us scientists & energizes at cost.
In lieu of man's inventions, the world may be irreplaceably lost!

They've given us conflicts & wars in Cuba, Vietnam, Iran - other countries too!!
The shortage of energies was inevitable -something we all knew.

They've given us three mile isle & polluted our air.
Is the destruction of the ozone layers - a sign that they don't care

They put chemicals & carcinogens in our water, food and drugs.
And sprayed all kinds of pesticides to kill us and the bugs!

They've given its respirators to use as death's crutch.
Does it mean the right to die may be plugged to their clutch?

Scientifically, some are brilliant discoveries of antidotes and cures.
Perhaps they'll find a preventive for a disease - never meant to be yours.
 
They've explored outer space - and they've landed on the moon.
What can they do with space? When the planet earth - man did ruin.

Unemployment, welfare, inflation like never before.
They even put taxation on God's very own store!

They abuse our children & confuse our mind;
Examples: Kent state and Attica. - Who can relate to their kind?

They killed our President and Bobby. - They determined our fate.
Even killed Martin Luther for a dream of freedom - not hate!

Whoever they are - who cause such offense-
Without rhyme or reason - they do not make sense!

Please save our dreams & pride -  Restore our faith.
Sisters & Brothers we must unite! - Against injustice and hate!

The atrocities were committed - To ignore them - a fatal sin.
Whoever they are -"we" must see they do not win!

If the messages given - tend to make you disagree.
Then perhaps the message for you is:
“May the TRUTH set you free!’’

The views of a pessimist - by some this will be said.
But please Dear God - let me die of old age,
Peacefully - asleep in my bed!
