| ALL JAPAN 3 GIANT GRAM (DC) GRAPHICS-Superb, better than All Star Pro Wrestling on PS2 in my OPINION, (Theres that word again). GAMEPLAY-Arcade and Simulation. On one hand the moves are executed like the Acclaim series, on the other hand they are executed like Smackdown and the AKI games with the tie-up. It balances out. This plays like a real Wrestling match, there are counters/reversals for almost everything. There are front, back and side grapples. There are chain moves or moves that are chained into others with the right sequence and timing, ex, a german suplex can be chained into a rolling (Benoit) suplex that can be chained into a Blue Thunder Driver. Another would be a spear/gore takedown that can be chained into a side headlock that can be chained into an armbar submission that can be chained into a full nelson. I love the way one can combine moves into chain combos on this game, its great. BEST FEATURE-The sheer amount of double team moves, well over 60, the ability to unlock videos of historic matches just by following the onscreen prompts of those actual matches themselves to recreate them as you wrestle. The CAW and having to train you CAW to learn new moves vice just giving him moves and move sets. Actually making someone blackout from the pain of a submission hold. The ability to upload previous CAWs from the previous Giant Gram 2. WORST FEATURE- Wrestling in Arcade mode until you unlock All Japan (Simulation) mode. IN A NUTSHELL-My second favorite game behind Fire Pro D, its that good, but could have benefited from a few more modes other than single, tag and tournament modes, in all still an excellent game. |
