Dear Parents

Secondary Department Field Trip

The Secondary Department has returned from a very successful and enjoyable field trip to Mt. Kinabalu. All the pupils and a large number of parents successfully climbed to Laban Rata. Anyone who has attempted to climb the mountain will know just getting to this stage is an achievement in itself. From there nine pupils and several parents made it to the top of the mountain. Congratulations to everyone for their achievements. I would also like to thank Ms Stansfield and Cigku Mutang for putting so much time and effort into organising the trip.

Triathlon on Sunday

A number of our pupils will be participating in the Sabah Junior Triathlon at Karambunai. Our school is helping to arrange this. We wish all our athletes every success in their race. Those competing will need to be at Lagoon Park by 6.30am to register.

A reminder that tickets are now available for the school BBQ to be held on Wednesday 6th December at 6.00pm. This is being organised by the PTA. Tickets are RM10 and this covers food and a lucky draw.

Farewell to Staff

Today is the last day for Mrs Lee and Ms Fanny.  Mrs Lee is taking up full time studies to complete her degree in Early Childhood Education, whilst Ms Fanny moves on to another school as a class teacher. They have both worked very hard for the children in their care. We wish them every success in their new endeavours.

New Appointments

Mrs Henry will replace Mrs Lee in the ELC class next term. She will be in school next week making herself familiar with the school and pupils.

Ms Christine Hardie has been appointed as the new English and History teacher in the Secondary Department. Ms Hardie is a very experienced teacher who has also lectured at university and teacher training college. She will be joining the school in January.

“The Snowman” Video

Miss Johnstone and Ms Dennis are looking for a copy of “The Snowman” video to show to their children next week.  If you have a copy that they could borrow, please see the above named teachers.
