Dear parents Welcome back to school for the beginning of Term Three. I trust that everyone had a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday break. We have a busy term ahead of us with the new building project getting under way, as well a several school events being planned. We have a number of new pupils joining the school this term, as well as two new teachers joining the staff. New Teachers I would like to welcome Mrs Hamilton to the staff. Mrs Hamilton has kindly agreed to act as relief teacher for the term in Geography and History. I would also like to welcome back Ms Hayman who is teaching in the Year 4/5 class this term. Building Project Work will get under way this week on the new Secondary Department block of classrooms. The work area is to be fenced off from the school as to cause the least possible disruption to our activities. Departing / New Board Members Mr Jean-Luc Delmas who has acted as the Treasurer on the school Board of Management will be leaving in a couple of weeks’ time to take up a new post in Argentina. During his time in his position as Treasurer he has put a lot of work into the school's initiatives of creating the Year 10 & 11 classes and the new school buildings. On behalf of the school, I would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him and his family every success in Argentina. Mr Peter Hughes has kindly agreed to take over the vacant position on the school Board of Management. We are most fortunate to have his assistance. Peter Hughes is an Engineer and he has already played a role in overseeing the planning of the school's new buildings. Term Calendar The following are important dates for the term. Please note, swimming for all classes as well as after school clubs will begin next week. October
