Science / IT Week

This week all the pupils in the school have been working specifically on Science and Information Technology activities. This has been with a view to promote these two areas of the curriculum. Some very impressive work has been completed in each of the classrooms, and you as parents will have the opportunity to view this work during our Open Day on Tuesday.

School Open Day: Tuesday 13 June (11am - 12.30pm)

The school will be open for parents to come into classrooms and view the work that has been done this week. Parents will be able to visit all classrooms and not just their child's classroom if they wish.

School Closed: - June 15th & 16th.

World Environment Day

A number of pupils, accompanied by Miss Stansfield, attended the Likas Wetlands World Environment Day last Sunday. Joanna Wong was awarded 2nd place in the Essay Competition. Jessica Kofod and Laura Wong gained 1st place in the singing competition as well as being recognised as the pupils who raised the most funds. Congratulations to each of these pupils for their great effort.

The school raised RM180 for the World Wildlife Fund through the sale of the WWF Book marks. Thank you to all those pupils and parents for their generosity in supporting this project.

Reception/Year 1 & Year 2/3 Swimming

Reception/Year 1 and Year 2/3 Swimming will be on Monday next week instead of Tuesday.

Water Cooler in School

The school PTA, through their fund raising efforts, has bought a water cooler from which all pupils can get drinking water throughout the day. On behalf of the school, a special thank you to the PTA and to all the parents who have supported the PTA initiatives.

Quiz Night : 23rd June

The PTA will be holding a Quiz Night for parents on Friday 23rd June. Year 9 & 10 pupils will also be allowed to attend this. More details will be sent home about this next week.

Parent Helpers for Sports Day

Parent helpers are needed to assist as officials during the school Sports Day on Friday 23rd June. Please speak to Cikgu Mutang if you are able to help out on this day.

Supervision of Children at Collection Time

Parents are reminded to be vigilant in watching their child as they walk them to their car. We have had couple of incidents lately whereby young pupils running ahead of their parent while walking to the car within the school were nearly hit by moving cars.
