Dear Parents

Primary School Production

Last night was the performance of the Primary Department’s production of the ‘Pied Piper’. I’m sure everyone will agree that it was a tremendous performance. The pupils sang and acted with an enthusiasm that reflected their genuine enjoyment at being involved. I would like to congratulate all of the pupils, staff and parents for making this production so entertaining.

Photos are on display outside the reception/Year 1 class. These can be ordered by parents.

Art Day

Today, the Secondary Department students were involved in various Art Day activities based on the theme of ‘International Art Forms’. Having looked around at some of the work being produced, there was a high standard in evidence. This is evidence of the commitment and work put in by the students and Cigku Mutang.  A special thank you to Mrs Gina Hamilton for leading some of the activities throughout the day.

Secondary Department Parent Interviews

This is a final reminder that the Secondary Department will be holding Parent Teacher Interviews on Monday after school. If you have not yet arranged interview times with your child’s teachers, then please do so today.

Mandarin Competition:  Tuesday 11 December

Ms Helen Yee, the school Mandarin tutor has organised a Mandarin speaking competition for the Secondary Department students. This will be held in the school library on Tuesday next week at 2.30pm. All parents are welcome to attend this.

 Reading Books

Today is the last day for reading books to go home in the Primary Department.

School Student Directory

Because many of our students live in various parts of Kota Kinabalu, it is not always easy to arrange for our children to meet with one another over weekends or in the school holiday breaks. To help aid communication and social opportunities between families, the school has been requested to produce a school Student Directory. This will be a small booklet that will list students' names, parents' names and contact telephone numbers.

This will be distributed to all the families of the school and is for their use only. Anyone who for any reason, does not wish to have their names included in this Student Directory please fill in and return the attached reply slip by Wednesday 12th December.

NB: we will assume consent for non-return of the attached slip.

School Magazine on the Web

The current year’s school magazine is now available in the school website and you may wish to inform your friends and relatives of this address http://www.geocities.com/kismy3.

End of Term Arrangements

The school will close at 12noon on Wednesday 12 December. Be sure to collect your child at this time.

On behalf of the school I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday break. To those families leaving the school, we wish you every success in your new travels and hope to see you one day in the near future.
