Dear Parents

Deepavali Holiday

A reminder that the school will be closed on Wednesday 14th November. This is a public holiday in celebration of Deepavali Day.

  Christmas Bazaar: 24th November

A reminder that the school Christmas bazaar is to be held at the school on Saturday 24th November. This is the main fund raising event for the year and the school PTA are now very busy with arrangements. Please remember to promote this event with your friends and family to help make it a great success.

The PTA is now in need of used toys, books and magazines for the Christmas Bazaar. If you have any of these that you wish to donate please send them to the school office. Similarly if you know any person or business interested in organising a stall, they can do so for RM50. Please see Mrs Hughes in regard to this.

Christmas Bazaar Raffle Tickets

A reminder that all students are to bring money for the raffle tickets to school along with the raffle ticket stubs. There will be prizes for the students, one from primary and one from secondary, that sells the most tickets.

Miss Hardie’s Training Visit

Miss Hardie will be out of school next week, as she will be visiting international schools in Hong Kong as part of her research work. Mrs Davies will be taking her lessons.

Stolen Property

There have been some items going missing of late. This week, a soccer ball and watch went missing from students’ school bags. Whilst the school tries its best to be vigilant in protecting everyone’s properties, your assistance is also required.

I remind parents that large sums of money, hand-phones and the like should not be sent to school. Any student caught with a hand-phone at school will have it confiscated till the end of the week.

School Uniforms

A reminder that all secondary school students will be expected to be in the new school uniform next term. If your child does not already have one, please make arrangements to have one ready for next term. This is to include shoes that are predominantly white. A survey around the department stores has shown that suitable shoes are available.

Year 4 & 5 Field Trip: Baganon Dam

Year 4 & 5 went on a field trip to Baganon Dam as part of their geography study on water. They got to see more water then they initially anticipated as it rained throughout most of the trip. However, they still had a very informative and enjoyable time. Thank you to Mrs Anuar Ghani for arranging this.

Headphones for ICT

Mr White has requested that all Year 4 – 9 students have a set of headphones for their ICT classes next term. If you are unable to buy these yourself, then Mr White can supply them at RM8 each. These will be used as part of their work on building a virtual reality environment.
