Staff Attending Math INSET

Ms Johnstone and Ms Dennis will be out of school next week from Tuesday to Friday as they will be attending a FOBISSEA Mathematics Conference. Lois Furness, England’s premier specialist in primary school mathematics, is leading this. Mr Shale will be teaching Reception/Year 1 during this time and Mrs Davies will be teaching Year 2/3.

Mid-Term Break

A reminder that the school will be closed 22^nd – 26^th October for the mid-term break.

  WWF Display & Fund Raising

Next Thursday & Friday there will be a display of work completed by students supporting the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF). Parents are welcome to come and look at this. A donation box will be available for families to make donations to WWF. At the same time there will be various WWF items on sale. Students are reminded to complete their donation box designs for the WWF competition.

Secondary Department: Mulu Caves Field Trip

There will be a meeting for all Year 6 – 9 parents in the school library to discuss the Mulu Caves Field Trip.

Tigers & Brownies / Bowling Clubs Cancelled Next Week

The Tigers and Brownies clubs held on Tuesday will be cancelled next week. Similarly, the 10 Pin Bowling Club held on Friday will also be cancelled next week. This is because Ms Dennis and Ms Johnson will not be in school next week.

Reception – Year 3 Swimming

There will still be swimming next week for Reception to Year 3 pupils. Parent volunteers to assist with swimming next week would be appreciated.

Book Club for Christmas

Book Club will be sent out early this term because the school wishes to have all the orders arrive before the December school holidays. Please note that last day of ordering is on Wednesday 17 October.

School Photos

There are still a number of families that have not paid for the school photos. Please do so by Monday.

 There seems to be some size error with the class and siblings photos for which they should be bigger sizes instead of the given size. Charges will thus be revised accordingly as follows:-

Pack per child: RM21 instead of RM25.00

2 Siblings photo: RM5 instead of RM12.00

For those who have already paid, please claim your refund from the front office, LATEST by half term (19 October).

Parent Volunteer for Swimming

We have an urgent need for a parent volunteer to assist with the Secondary Department swimming on Fridays between 9.00am and 10.00am. Please see Ms Stansfield if you can assist with this.
